The more immediate takeaway is that he thinks he is operating under a mandate from Jesus Christ, the father and all of the saints. The law? Pffft, he’s on a mission from god. It’s reflected in how he’s been operating since he came on board. Pompeo has a similar complex, but Barr has it in the extreme.
How hard is it for the media to do their job. This lady is firm with Pompeo and he has no decent reply. Also: burn in Hell Pompeo
In the weighted vest, no less. I guess if he just tapped his gut on the ground 200 times, he could cut through the pushups in about 2-3 minutes.
Pompeo is straight out of gilead. He is a misogynist Christian sharia zealot. Probably berated all his female staffers on the plane back to Washington
Journalists just need to keep up this yes or no questioning to these shitheads. Their outright refusal to say a one syllable word tells you everything you need to know.
George stephanoplis tried really hard last week to do that but he couldn’t help himself but to engage. Yes or no Yes or no Yes or no
He'd become progressive on LGBT rights like every other conservative when real world issues hit too close to home
I mean fucking hell. Because Obama wore a tan suit and bc of some racist assholes in Florida, a Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, we have ceded control of the Middle East to Russia.
I’d vote for Hillary again if it meant Chelsea could do this and give 15 million people with Fox News poisoning a brain aneurysm.
So basically. Trump retreated from Syria leaving our best allies to fend for themselves and then Turkey brazenly attacked OUR positions when we didnt retreat fast enough. Turkey and Russia now see how weak we are. At the same time we are sending troops to Saudi Arabia as a paid defense force for MBS. (What is the going rate for a Super Hornet). It feels like post Impeachment, Putin is cashing in his bet on Trump before 2020.
At the same time, aren't Russia/Syria & Turkey now headed towards a conflict with each other (should the Kurds join up with RUS/SYR)? Does Russia want that? Seems like it by voting down that UN resolution vs Turkey, but I'm not sure why ... And is Assad cool with Turkey moving in to his country to set up a DMZ?
With Russia behind Syria it's highly unlikely there is a conflict with Turkey. The Kurds will have to make a deal with Assad/Russia for security and they do have control of most of the oil wells in eastern Syria. If it's only a 30 km dmz Turkey wants then it shouldn't be too big of a deal. The Kurds will likely just execute the ISIS prisoners or hand them over to Assad who may or may not execute them.
