FIRE GARRETT *clap clap clap clap clap* FIRE GARRETT *clap clap clap clap clap* FIRE GARRETT *clap clap clap clap clap*
Well, yesterday definitely sucked ass and this team is currently playing like something akin to the worst team in the NFL. That said, I remember feeling exactly like this last year when they were 3-5 and had lost to the titans on Monday night football. This team certainly has the talent (when healthy) to compete for a spot in the playoffs. The offseason hype clearly did not do this team any favors. I think they read their own write ups and let it go to their heads. The first 3 weeks where they played sloppy at times but still won big did nothing to dispel the idea that they were a dominant team who could show up and win easily. Now, we will find out what the team is made of mentally. Either they will circle the wagons and turn it around or they will crumble completely and waste what could have been a very very good season for the franchise. We will see what happens against Philly.
This coaching staff just has no ability to adjust when they aren't at full strength and it shows repeatedly
So lets say they go out and get smashed by Philly next week in absolutely embarrassing fashion and a miracle happens. Garrett gets fired Monday morning. Who do they let take over? Kris Richard?
Or we could go the route of hiring an incredibly young and green former QB with upside I'm thinking John Stephen Jones
I don’t see Garrett getting fired mid season unless we are out of the playoff hunt by like week 12. Even then I bet he gets the full season.
there are literally 6 probable losses in a row coming up eagles - L? toss up? @ giants - W, maybe? vikings - L @ lions - L @ pats - LOL bills - L (short week) @ bears - L rams - L @ eagles - L skins - W boy... this could get ugly
I’m listening to all the podcasts this morning replaying this shitshow. It’s cathartic and a bit masochistic.
Found on twitter. Finding new ways to lose NFL teams are 90-1 since 1991 when they win time of possession, total yards, turnovers, pick up 25 first downs, and convert at least 10 or more 3rd down attempts. Dallas' loss to the Jets on Sunday is the one loss.
think you guys should be favored on Sunday. Unless Mills and Darby come back the secondary is somehow worse than the one Amari went for 250 against. The defense is historically bad and Schwartz has zero answers
can your receivers run faster than a 4.8 40? in a straight line and be able to catch a ball 50% of the time? if so, they'll be fine.
gallup is good, but without cooper, he gets bracketed. smith looked good early on in the year as a deep threat, but he was a healthy scratch last week even with cobb out (?). cobb still could be out, but if not, he’s all underneath stuff, and the rest of the receivers are trash our tight ends are so meh too
You and I would throw a bracket on Gallup all game and let the other guys beat coverage. Schwartz will play quarters coverage or cover 1 and Gallup will catch 12 for 175. Its insane what is happening on that side of the ball.
