Never heard of that either. Sounds like some of the doctors I work with. I want this piece of equipment which is the Mercedes of equipment but I will only pay Mazda price for it.
Little bit of good, fast, cheap, pick 2 little bit of pushing off decisions he needed while making final wedding preparations, and then getting delayed by Dorian.
We were all in on a lighter countertop. Then my cousin’s sister in law who is a designer came to look at it with us and said, go with this darker one. It’s bold. It will be the centerpiece of your house. We are thrilled with the end result.
We are putting in a new slab at our 2nd place in Clemson. Looking at a Quartzite like this.. Looks really crazy sparkle from different angles. The walls are light purple so it should hit pretty cool.
Quite the weird crusade you are on. You asked for help, I tried to help you. Your lack of self awareness is quite amazing.
I live half my life in Midland and half in okc. Two bookends ends of my region. Here is my Midland backyard with a typical Midland party ratio.
And yet you continue to be wrong. So weird how that works. I’m not sure how you telling me to rip up freshly installed tile and a ceiling to do something after the fact was helpful, but if that’s what you think, I’ll pass on your “advice.”
You really are a rube. Where did I say tear up your new house? I told you what I’m doing and what I’m paying as part of my remodel for you to use as a guide when making your decision. I’m telling you that 2k to add that feature is a steep cost considering how little work it is to add that As part of your build and that you should try to get them to do the addition for less. this all started out with you saying you were paying 2k for just a shower head. You didn’t say it was the entire build out at first. Even after you clarified, I told you what I knew. You were so dead set on trying to one up me by talking shit about what I was doing to my house, you completely missed the fact I was trying to help you.
You really are fucking stupid, aren’t you? It was pretty obvious I wasn’t paying $2,000 for just a head. Obviously it included the work as part of the build. You do realize coats for a remodel are completely different than a new build, right? Everything is (unfortunately) significantly more expensive with a builder than if you did it later. Everyone knows that...or I thought everyone did. I guess you don’t? You can’t just say, hey, do this upgrade for X dollars instead of Y dollars. That’s just not how it works, dumb fuck.
Pretty obvious? Excuse me for assuming that you were making a high end upgrade to your home. you literally asked if you should cut the 2k shower head. Implying that you were paying for just the shower head. There are certainly plenty of 1k+ rain shower heads out there. Add in the builder markup and it can easily get to 2k. Instead of clarifying that the 2k was for the entire thing, you tried to turn this into a dick measuring contest. You keep saying I don’t know what I’m talking about, but you are the one who didn’t even realize there would be a way to alternate between which shower head water would come out from. Once again. I tried to help you. Then again, this isn’t the first time I tried to give you real advice and just because of my fan hood you acted like an idiot.
Sorry rest of the thread. Never again. I’ll have more kitchen updates for you guys soon. Stove getting installed Monday. Kitchen aid had a recall on the one I bought so they upgraded me to an induction stove for free.
I’m not sure that’d be an option, to be honest. And if it was, I’m not sure it would change the upgrade cost all that much. Some of the builder markup is outrageous.
I have a home office nook area in my house that I'm thinking of putting in cabinets and a countertop and have no idea how much it could cost. Any help? It's probably a 5x12 room, I'd like to have cabinets/countertops on both sides, and the far wall across from the door- with leaving the bottom open in both corners to set up a chair for a computer area, and a craft/homework area. I guess I'd be looking at nearly 20 linear feet of countertops, normal desk depth, a few bottom drawers and a good bit of top storage. Is $5k a reasonable budget? It could in half that, or double that and I wouldn't really know. I guess it all depends on the quality of cabinets/countertops.
quality is going to be the determining factor. I think it's doable for 5k. Look around to see if you can find a local carpenter who can build them for you. Usually they are cheaper then the larger companies you find online. You just have to take a leap of faith that their work is good.
They make these pods that you can use to clean it out by running it without a load. We do that once a month and it's helped. You can also dry off the inside window when it finishes and leave the door open to air dry
So i have a kenmore elite top loading washer. The shaft to the pulsator appears to have snapped somehow. My questions is, i got the washer with my new house. How do i get the warranty when i dont have proof of purchase? Do i go to the builder and see if i cant find the proof of purchase from them?
Sorry Boo, but that happens. I worked for a custom home builder out of college. Our markup on any upgrades was always at least 100%. Everything is negotiable. You may have never seen it done. But it happens. Maybe not to the extreme you described but it’s not unheard of.
That was my thought. Just rough it in and then drywall over it. It’s a shitload easier to add it later if the plumbing and a frame is there already.
Hm. News to me, but this is the first house I’ve ever built, so nearly all of this is uncharted territory.
My Dad is coming out next month to completely renovate 2 bathrooms . Ts and Ps will be needed to not rip each other's head off though. Here is the worse of the two I'm not sure what's worse the texture on the walls or the carpet.
