5 beers and a roast pork sandwich and my bill was around $28. Something tells me the bartender didn’t charge me for everything.
Had something similar happen at Fetch a few weekends ago. There with my sister and my wife and we were all drinking. I close out my tab and they charged me $8. I alone had like 4 beers. Some sad sack with the same last name was probably in for a real shock.
Have my sister visiting this weekend. What's some stuff we could do tomorrow with it set to rain all day?
I really want to love Ticonderoga at Kroger st. Just not doing it for me. Haven't seen it mentioned, but Himitsu (across from shops at buckhead) is a great time. Different vibe than anywhere else in the city. Anyone been to Octopus Bar?
Guy is throwing out buckhead as ideal cool spots. Probably not gonna take his opinion of a shitty OTP Clemson fan who has to constantly change his name
Speaking of... Anyone have any recs for newer spots on the east side? Would do west end too. Kinda coming up blank. Guys dinner....
I haven’t been there since one of the workers creepily looked up my name on my receipt and started trying to slide into my facebooks dms.
It does kind of suck how much Virginia Highlands is struggling at the moment. I almost never think to go there...
They are turning hand in hand into an event space. I have no idea who that lady thinks is going to have events there.
Now that you mention it, I don't think I've been since some girl I don't know locked me in the bathroom and tried to make a move. I'm willing to look past that because... These and a Mo Jo burger go great together.
We got to Harry's, Highland Tap, Fontaine's, EL taco and DBA pretty regularly and they're consistently busy.

Yes. The comfy chicken biscuit is my go-to. Also, last time I was in there I bought a little painting of Jack Skellington because it looks cool. As I’m checking out, cashier says so-and-so is gonna love that he sold a painting. Turns out the artist is an autistic kid who does paints as therapy. Made my day.
Prime rib special at Highland Tap was still fantastic last night, that whole strip feels dead compared to years past.
In general, the retail between H&H and Atkins is more vacant than usual. But it's always been more crowded later. Used to work at Limericks. More people in the city, but more places to go seems to have thinned the Highlands to me. Neighbors patio was largely empty on a nice Thursday evening a few weeks ago. Wife said Atkins was crowded Saturday night.
I'm in Atlanta for a conference this week. Ate at Fat Matt's last night - the ribs were good, but not mind-blowing or anything. Think I will hit Community Q on the way home.
