If it’s is an iron cross (like it appears to be) that is as close to a swastika tattoo as you can get. Any excuse IMO would be lacking and bullshit close to “well the swastika is an Egyptian symbol”.

Not sure if you guys are being serious but an iron cross tattoo is pretty fucking bad. I can think of one person I’ve seen with one that isn’t a racist asshole. Now I guess there can be some with it that aren’t but I’d put it up there with a swastika tattoo in which I wouldn’t the giving the person the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not going to act like I know Katie Hill or anything. I'm purely going off of her VICE docuseries. I don't think she's actually a bigot. With that being said, I've seen the iron cross tattoo & stickers on trucks. I think it's a mix bag between actual racist and people who probably think it's cool.
It really is more about old proprietary systems that were made by companies that are long gone so no compatibility with newer systems or still around but no longer developing the old platform. It is a problem in a lot of public entities not just the federal space. An upgrade in one place requires a complete overhaul.

I am not going to continue because I don’t know enough about her. My personal experience with the tattoo also clouds my judgment about people with them. I’ll just say it’s a problematic tattoo one that people should stay away from. That said I have shamrocks and a Celtic cross and have gotten looks because of them. So I retract my original opinion and will wait yo hear her explanation.
All that really means is you need an air gap solution and tape is what most think of when they think air gap. Problem is tape is slow for a recovery and causes difficulty for specific rpo and rto objectives.
Iron Crosses are definitely super suspect but in the US it's more broadly used for non racist purposes than the rest the world where it's just nazi iconography

again I don’t know enough about her to say she is racist. It might just be a dumb mistake in judgment. But, like I said my personal experience with the tattoo makes it hard for me just to brush it off as no big deal. they (the photos) literally do and the person needs to be prosecuted.
