I'm curious if the purse strings will loosen once we move into the stadium. Oh, and Newcastle is in like 6th or 7th while Liverpool is bouncing between 8th and 11th, I keep seeing Newcastle do well and then think of you fondly.
I don't really know what to do with 126m budget. So I guess I'm trying to sign Mbappe, idk. Lol fuck, I got PSG to accept 209m plus Dier, but Mbappe is a bitch that doesn't wanna enter into contract negotiations as he just signed a new contract... 3 days ago. Fuck you anyways buddy, I never could have afforded your 21m p/a salary.
Oh well, since I'm not getting the big fish, I'm filling out some attacking and midfield depth with talent. Moise Kean for under 10m, Max Arons to replace Trippier who sold for like 69m lol, Tonali to attempt an alternative 4-1-2-3 regista role, and Amadou Haidara out of Leipzig to compete with N'dombele at the Box to Box M spot in my main 4-2-3-1 wide gegenpress. Still have ~50m to play with. Winning the Prem 1st season with 143m matchday/ticket revenue (next best ManU 110m and Arsenal 104m) means I have some gaudy cash to throw around, Levy-style.
The p/a thing actually makes me sad, because now that I think about it, I was bitching about Mbappe making 21m a year. What's the worst NBA or MLB or NFL player that makes north of that?

Made the switch. Since then, I've just had back to back goals given up against Palace and Brighton by weak back passes to the keeper that get intercepted and buried in my net. Sabotage.
Just got back into my Sparta save. Managed to win back to back Eredivisie titles and beat Everton for the Euro title last year on a 94th minute goal. Picked up this dude Fred Friday from Feyenoord for like 375k mainly because I liked his name. He followed up his nice half season with a 31 goals and 11 assists in 32 games for me this year as I routed the league. Added 8 more goals and 3 assists in 12 CL matches. So just hoped to get to the knockout rounds of the CL. Won the group over Athletico. Drew Milan in the first knockout round. Lost the first leg 1-0 so kinda thought I was done there but somehow won 2-0 at home to move on. Got Man City and beat them 3-2 at home. Figured I was fucked going away with 2 away goals given up. Came back from 2-1 in the 75th minute to win the 2nd leg also 3-2 and win 6-4 agg. Drew Barca in semis. They had I think their 5 best players all injured somehow so that was nice to see. First leg away I win 5-3 with 2 goals in the 90+ minutes. Drew at home 2-2 to advance to the finals. Playing Paris St-Germain my boy Fred Friday nets the only goal in the 59th minute to win it. I was sort of hoping for a slow build but guess that is over. Board is now building a new stadium that will seat 25k in 2 years when its done. I'm prepared to lose like 3-4 of my best players. They all demanded release clauses of like $6-9 mill so I'm probably in some trouble but whatever it was worth it.
Bought 19 during the steam summer sale and I’m about 210 hours into an Arsenal save, I’m still a bit too intimated by this game to build up a smaller team though. Does anyone have tips or food smaller teams to build up?
I would look for at min mid-table team in any league you do in the lower leagues. Taking some 20th place VNN squad on is going to be miserable. I always build around speed and play a very wide game. At the lower levels you can make your field huge and I do that and try to find all guys with at least 14 in pace and acceleration and a decent passing/first touch rating. Usually run some sort of diamond formation. Maybe try a League 1 side or something to get your feet wet.
Nov.19th release date announced for FM 20, all version (PC, Touch and Mobile versions on IOS) Gonna be a longgg month
I personally go for the English medium sized teams that were heavily struggling but are still big enough to grow at the rate you need them to after getting promoted. Sunderland was perfect for this in 19. I’ve always struggled putting so much work into a squad, finding/developing diamonds in the rough, only to move on to bigger jobs.
It's the summer of 2028 and astonishingly the lowly London Tigers have won the Championship playoffs to make it to the English Premier League. Just a decade ago this club was playing in the regional Spartan South Midlands League. They see their borrowed from Leyton Orient ground Brisbane Road being raised from 9700 to the required 12,500 seat ground as anything bigger the board feels is not warranted. They will also complete a 2.6 million dollar project adding required undersoil heating. We've repeatedly asked the board to improve our training and youth facilities but nope that's a negative however we have got them to reluctantly agree to improve our youth status. This was a hell of a grind to finally get here. Think I've been playing this one save basically the entire time I've had FM19 and I'm fucking pumped to try and stay in the Premiership and possibly more. Damn I love this game. Lol
I was misled to believe the new game would come out at launch on XBOX Game Pass Ultimate. Not only is it not, 19 is also being taken off at the end of the month. :(
Got bored with my Birmingham to Tottenham save. Had Unuvar and Bellingham running the championship to Europe with Birmingham before taking over Tottenham. Loaded up a new game last night with Perugia in Serie B. Want to play that Italian style with a Libero sitting in the middle of three at the back. Because of the game engine I'm not going to try and play catenaccio but I'm trying to see a lot less goals and attempts on goal allowed. So far I've played 2 italian cup games, one against Catanzaro in Serie C, a 0-1 away win and a 3-0 win against Serie A side Cagliari ----------AF---AF----- ---------------------------- -------Mez--BBM------- CWB(a)---A----WB(d) -------CD---L---CD----
Got FM20 at the start of the quarantine. Currently managing Dynamo Dresden in Germany, and got them promoted year 2. Won the league and was given 7 mil transfer budget. woooo
Had a real good youth CM. Dortmund, followed by basically every BL team minus Bayern, sent an offer in for him that I couldn’t refuse/get out of. Got 550k + only 15% of next transfer profit :(
i saw 2019 was released on switch but after further sleuthing it was only in countries that are not mine. only ones available here are the touch ones which seem half assed
touch is okay. it would most likely serve as a good entry level stuff. but if you have a pc that can run the full game (most can) get it for 4)3 computer.
Agree. I have considered buying a laptop for FM but that would basically be my only reason to buy a laptop
I’ve been debating FM+laptop or console+FIFA for a while now. The longer the quarantine goes it’ll probably be both.
