I have minimal expectation for him this year. Just need Huerter to come back to full speed and for Reddish to find his way with the 2nd unit.
I love Jabari Parker just getting buckets on the second unit. I was skeptical of that signing but I think it will he fortuitous in the long run
Went last night and seemed like a good turnout. Place went nuts when Trae banked the three to ice it.
Bruno hitting 3s Hunter driving to the rack Trae being Trae This team is going to be so fun to watch night in and night out. as Reddish improves and Huerter gets back in a groove we are going to be a tough out
Yeah I’m still getting used to caring about wins and losses again but this feels like a moral victory 3 games into this season
Definitely gonna try and get down to a game in the near future. Arrec Bardwin let me know if you want to go to anotha one
Embiid just Murdered Len and that’s a tough match up for John. Still wish we had a move to get a defensive minded 5.
I haven't cared about a win/loss for the Hawks since the end of the Bud run, but man last night was cool. State Farm seemed to have a wild atmosphere and the young guys were dialed in all game. Philly is a great defensive team but I thought we also stepped up defensively in the second half. It worries me how lost we look when Trae is out. I feel like Hunter showed a few flashes of being a good wing player once he gets some experience. Len missing 2 wide open threes in crunch time killed us. Trae set him up well both times. We controlled the game until the last few minutes but their vets locked in and won it for them. Embiid is a total beast and we obviously didn't have an answer for him. (most teams won't) I thought Ben Simmons looked bad and Harris didn't show up til the end. . I'm still really excited for this young team. we are going to really piss some people off in the East this year.
Trae last night seemed to be trying to force the ball wayyyyy too much in the second half, either with shots or wild passes. Their last few plays in the 4th quarter were not good compared to the first two games, but hopefully he's still maturing.
Delly and Jevon Carter come to mind. Probably couldn't make Delly's deal work realistically. JJ Barea and Mudiay are guys with workable 1 year deals on a team with the depth to potentially move them but couldn't be moved until mid-December. Shabazz Napier may be my favorite but that would be a stretch
Wish the Peachtree jerseys were available in shirsey/other t-shirt form. I’m too old to be rocking jerseys.
Eh—don’t wear any of them but football and hockey jerseys are by far the worst because they’re designed for pads and ridiculously ill-fitting and oversized without, or they’re comically disproportioned b/c you’re trying to get away with one that’s clearly too small. Basketball jerseys are just a tank top, so at least they’re comfortable and fit well. I’ve never owned one but always thought baseball jerseys were the best and most “normal” looking of all the major sports. Suppose soccer is up there too.
Jabari has been awesome. I imagine he becomes a starter but I really liked him off the bench getting buckets.
Just play the piss out of the young kids the next 25 games, let them develop, get a lottery pick, find a center who can stretch the floor for Collins and focus on next year. wonder if we could get Myles Turner from Indy or one of the point guards Chicago doesn’t play. I’d take Satoransky as our back up to Trae
Trae just impacts so much of the geometry on the offensive side of the court. It’s impressive watching Murray expend so much energy to defend him and still pick up 4 fouls. as Reddish/Hunter/Huerter mature with him, this offense is going to be insane.
