It's a FIFA rule so it's everywhere. The player can choose to go off at nearest touch line or at the bench
Some German team lost the title on a play like that on the last play on the last day. Stuttgart maybe?
I’ve seen more discussion about this Firmino offside VAR decision than all pre-VAR bad calls combined. Do people not remember onside goals ruled out for a bad offside call or offside goals incorrectly being allowed to stand? Hell even the Firmino decision yesterday was flagged for offside by the linesman and wouldn’t have counted without VAR.
it’s Liverpool and a questionable call didn’t go in our favor. The world should be brought to heel until this injustice is righted. In all seriousness, completely unmentioned by thick skull pundits and message boarders alike was that it was originally ruled offsides. Going to VAR could only favor Liverpool. Bad calls are part of the game, part of the drama and emotion. The idea that offsides has ever been an objective decision is a farce, it’s always been angles and eye level and armpits and leaning this way or that. They missed a call yesterday. They’ve been missing calls since they put the ball down in the center circle. Other teams are getting missed calls too. It cost City points. It’s soccer, you dread the ones that go against you and you celebrate the ones you steal.
Shit like this has to be fixed. No one wants these types of plays reviewed. Edit to say didn’t realize the ref called it offside originally. Dude(or dudette) needs to keep their flag down.
He definitely sold it but why is that not a penalty? Richarlison has been on the ground every time someone breathes on him.
