I like this a lot. 1) Dano is an awesome choice. Way better than Jonah Hill 2) I'm glad we're going to get a decent movie live action version of The Riddler
Paul Dano as the main baddie, the riddler, in a "detective" focused Batman movie. Just wanted to type it. Gonna be great
It’s a lot like the recent Star Wars movies for me. At first watch I just try and get sucked into that world/universe and just watch the story. I ooh and ahh at certain things but quickly dismiss flaws. It usually takes like a day or so to realize I didn’t like it as much as I thought I did
Spoiler: Long Halloween Talk It will be interesting to see how much they follow TLH, will Bats have the Riddler help him with figuring out who Holiday is? If The Riddler is the main bad guy, how does that impact Holiday’s identity?
I seriously doubt that it will be 100% true to The Long Halloween with the Falcone/Maroni beef and tracking Holiday because that would be like a long ass trilogy worth of content
Rumor is they are casting Falcone/Maroni. I agree it probably won’t be 100% TLH but it will be close or based off it.
That's going to be a lot of fucking movie with no background on any of these characters and that many villains in play
I would love to watch a Batman detective film which plays out over the course of a year with TLH being the axis it revolves around. Especially if we are talking about a Batman early in his career. We would get to see all the characters evolve over the course of a year. In the hands of a screenwriter/director as talented as Reeves.
some of those could play in the background like falcone in tdk series. there was a scene or two and you knew he was there, but it wasn’t a focus or anything
Most of the villains are glorified cameos. Might be neat to see them in a scene or two and then decide who to bring back for a more prominent role in the sequel.
After watching The King this weekend, I’m impressed with how much Pattinson has developed as an actor. Only had 15 minutes or so of screen time, but he stole every scene he was in.
Posted this in the DC thread but Pattinson is using the same martial arts trainer that Keanu uses for John Wick. I can’t get any higher on this movie now
Rumor is next month. It’s going to have some elements of blue/black/grey. Some have compared it to a modern West suit or Year One.
If it's based off Neal Adams/Denny's O'Neil's blue and grey classic from the 70's you can just take all my money.
