Mayans MC takes place two-and-a-half years after the events of Sons of Anarchy[2] and will focus on the struggles of Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California/Mexico border. EZ is the gifted son of a proud Latino family, whose American dream was snuffed out by cartel violence. Now, his need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended and can never escape
Sepinwall didn't like it, but I'll watch it anyway. https://www.rollingstone.com/tv/tv-reviews/mayans-mc-review-715393/
I thought it was a solid first episode. I'm also rewatching soa for the 3rd time and s1 ep1 was on par with mayans imo
Just finished the first ep, and really liked it. Bit of a slow burn for sure, but I'm ok with that. Already pretty fascinated with EZ's character.
Has no hands so the time is at least the midpoint of SOA Don't remember who was running Galindo during SOA
So this prospect who was chastised for saying a word in EP 1 when Galindo was speaking asks about his wife by name after he tells the MC his son was kidnapped...and Galindo doesn’t say “how the fuck do u know my wife?!” Or any type of reaction?
Noticed that too. Though we don't have enough background on Miguel yet to know if he knows EZ and Emily's history at all. Certainly possible he does, I think.
Depends, I think. Obviously, he has no control over who the MC let's join. In theory, he could see it as leverage with the MC potentially knowing EZ's past with Emily and that he has feelings (either current or residual) for her. Especially with EZ's brother also being in the MC.
I’ve gotten the impression that he knows that they dated especially how he drops the “prospect” as a diss all the time.
The vp and the sergeant in arms(assuming it's the same setup as SOA) are obviously the big guy and the guy with long hair, anyone know which is which.
Also, the show on after Mayans tonight, Mr Inbetween (an Australian show) is getting glowing reviews.
I really liked the finale. Very much like SOA. It takes a couple episodes to really get going and then your hooked. Season 2 is going to be very interesting because of the ending.
One episode behind so maybe it’s addressed but don’t understand at all what up with the heroin story line.
