Les got fired because the secret to modernizing the LSU offense -- the TE coach with the silly tie -- was under his nose the whole time.
The person that would fire him knows he won’t be around to do it if it comes to that. Alleva is tied to Orgerons success so he won’t be given the ability to fire him.
as someone that just had to deal with multiple seasons of a coaching staff littered with old cacs, i must say that coach eaux is making some poor hires
I sometimes wonder just how good our offense could have been in 2012. It was really good as is, but without Nuss holding it back?
Yeah, that was more my point -- that Orgeron actually found a way to hurt their recruiting. The last time that they had a class ranked that poorly was Saban's first year coaching them, meaning that the groundwork on the class was laid by Gerry Dinardo.
I’m still so mad they hired Orgeron. You’re LSU, what are you doing keeping Alleva after all of this?
It still amazes me how Joe Alleva turned being the AD at Duke during the lacrosse scandal into landing the LSU AD gig.
I’m glad y’all didn’t have that ref at South Lafourche or we would have never gotten past #1. You’re welcome.
It was clear as a bell to me. “South Lafourche” is the key. If you don’t know where/what that is then I could see getting lost in the grumbles.
I love this post. Fall of 2016. Everything is great. Jimbo is rebuilding. Willie Taggart is in Oregon. Then boom. Lethal simplicity happens.
I’m drunk. That was a great win. Texas was better than I thought they were. Our offense. I just don’t even know what to say. After listening to Miles say the offense is changed for so many years and nothing happens, it’s incredible to see what Ogeron, Ensminger, and Brady have done this year. I feel like lsu this year is the reverse of how I feel about the saints each year. Lsu always has good defense, but if the offense could just take the next step...we’ll obviously they have taken that next step and are off and running.
