Rainn Wilson hosts Radio Rental, which I think is an excellent podcast. First 3 eps were pretty good, and very well produced. Last story of the 3rd episode is the first one I've wanted to research after the fact.
I want to look it up, but I don't even know where to start. Glitch in the Matrix was also kind of weird... Dude had to have been lying, right? Or maybe he's got some mental block on a misdeed of his.
The girlfriend- I’m going to start by assuming he believes these things happened/is being truthful. My most likely scenario is that he had one of those mental breaks where he did the throwing, etc and painted the picture in his head that it was the GF. Mistook the similar looking girl he saw for his gf in that state. Less likely - she sent in someone she knew or met that looked like her to play a fucked up joke. Least likely, it was an enormous purse and people mix-up coincidence.
Dateline is really good, it’s just their tv show put in podcast form Slow burn is great. I loved season 2 and season 3 is off to a great start (biggie and tupac)
Pretty excited for this based on my love of Gimlet, Reply All, and Carrie Coon. Not big on fiction podcasts but will definitely give this one a try.
Catlick is pretty decent. First episode is 100% fluff, be warned. It starts to hit stride around episode 4. It's about a serial killer in Cabbage Town of Atlanta.
Are these basically just like an audiobook? Or when you say radio drama - is that with different people reading their own separate roles?
Maybe, i thought it was the new one but I binged them all the last few days so i'm not sure which ones are which.
I just started 1864 which is an audio drama about the Lincoln assassination it’s not bad so far, it’s completed too I believe.
devine youre a big office fan - are you listenign to Office Ladies? It's not really a binge podcast, but it;s great. Also i'll mention The City. Only 1.5 seasons so far but really good.
Season 1 is about some shady chigago business/political deals of the 90s. Season 2 is Reno strip clubs.
Spoiler it was a good twist. i had a hunch that they were the same person but kinda forgot about it. It was a good reveal.
Now that we're 4-5 episodes into season 2, Im liking it a lot better than season 1. And I liked season 1 a lot.
Same. I think it’s the feeling that you’re right in the Reno stuff, where Chicago was an old story being told to you.
I have no interesting in listening to Up At Night by WeWork the first 900 times I heard the at for it. Maybe the next time will work!
Finished and agree... Feels extra short, and hastily wrapped up. Solid while it lasted, but it felt like I was listening to the abridged version of what they actually wanted to tell. I wonder if it has anything to do with budget, considering how those types of podcasts are more expensive to produce.
