You don’t have to buy one. You have to get accepted to the forums first I think. Make sure you register there.
Oooooh. I'm a dummy. Thought this was pretty straight forward. Didn't know I had to be part of a F150 Cult. But whatever. I'll buy my white sneakers now.
So Bakflip gave me a new Mx4 cover. Havent put it on yet. Been too tied up with work. Think ill do it tomorrow. But one issue i consistently have is the Sync 3 system is trash. It keeps crashing. I have calls on my screen that look like they arent hanging up. I then have to reset the system. Anyone have this issue.
I just replaced my 2017 F150 with a 2019 and Sync crashed twice over the two years I had my '17 and has already crashed twice on the '19. It also gives me this annoying network connection error message every time I start up. really disappointing
My boss has a 2018 King Ranch & his Sync doesn’t completely crash, but sometimes it just loses the Bluetooth connection to his phone so you have to keep hitting the button to reconnect it, only for it to lose the connection again not even 5 minutes later.
My 2017 GMC Sierra drops bluetooth occasionally Sometimes it seems to go for stretches when it does it every day, sometimes it doesn't for weeks
I use CarPlay almost exclusively and haven’t had a single issue. Have you checked to see if it needs an update?
Ya I never have to do anything. One time my old ass iPod wasn’t communicating right so I just hit the power button on the truck to cut it all off then it worked like normal
Back in the game. 2016 XL f150 sport 4x4. Bare bones basic truck with a nice lift and MT tires. 2.7L by EcoBoost, for that 19mpg flair. Dont do a ton of towing so I'm good with it. 70k miles
Thats a damn good looking truck. Congrats brother. Check out some of the options you can do with ForScan when you get some time. On a related note. I have a drop in bedliner. Looking at putting a cover on it. Actually looking at the Bakflip MX4. Might end up putting a Linex in down the road. Any one have any feedback on these options?
Had a drop in line with a backflip cover on the f150 Hated the drop in liner because everything slides around too easy, and invariably ends up slid to the front middle where its hardest to get to under that last section of cover Go ahead and get a linex sprayed in, imo
Can't go wrong with either imo. I've always been partial to Toyotas though. I've had three Tacomas, and my wife drives a 4Runner.
It's a '17 limited. I only got the limited for all the interior features. One of the first things I did was get rid of all the chrome they put on them though. This is what it looked like when I bought it.
Same. It came with the truck but I’d never buy one myself. Right now I just have a rubber bed mat and nothing moves.
Great advice. I may spring for the linex first and then get the cover later. I didn’t even think about the shit sliding around.
I have a drop-in in mine(was there when I bought it), and I hate it. I'll get Line-x one of these days.
Current tundra has drop in. Yes, it is slippery. A painted 2x6 and bunjees work for me. Had a spray in back in early 90s and it showed every little scratch and dissolved w spill Petro products
If you can wait a year or so they will have the new Tundra released. Hopefully they catch up to the others in terms of options, engines and infotainment, cause right now Toyota is far behind on those. The engine is durable as hell, but the gas mileage is bad if you do a lot of driving in traffic.
Probably gonna be getting rid of my 3/4ton crew cab soon for a 1/2 ton. Anyone have a double cab/quad cab truck and deal with car seats? Wondering if they fit decent or if I should just stick with a crew cab. Seems like the double cabs can be found cheaper new or used.
I had a super cab f150 and car seat was fine. Definitely more room in the crew cab f150, but now I’m in a crew cab ranger and it’s about the same as the old f150 super cab room wise.
Probably buying this for myself for Christmas. I need to clear up some space and need to keep my tools and equipment together. It's a bit pricey but seems way more useful. https://www.builtrightind.com/products/builtright-industries-mbrs-fseries-kit Spoiler Lying. I'm prob buying it tomorrow
i have a tonneau cover. i dont want a box because id have to get up in there every time i need something. If the picture is causing confusion the side panels are using existing holes in your truck and dont affect the cover.
Damn that's slick I've got a big ass toolbox but stuff like valve keys and crow bars are too big I'm gunna buy one of those and expense it
Wife got a promotion and is getting a company car, Nissan Altima. Thinking about trading her 2018 Honda HRV (which I hate), and my 2016 Ford Explorer (which I love). The Ford F-150 black widows have caught my eye, it’s got the lift kit and fat tires which I would want anyway.
I guess a conversion that a company does, 6” lift kit, fat tires, they look sharp. Thinking about keeping the explorer now because we’ve always got groups to drive around (kids, their boyfriends, parents). I don’t know....
I have a 2012 ram with 72k miles and thing are starting to go wrong. Replaced a bunch of broken bolds on the exhaust manifold 2 weeks ago and now my check engine light just came on. I found a 2014 f150 limited with 42k miles which I really like. Anyone have any insights into how older f150s with low mileage hold up?
No clue but my 2011 F150 has 112k miles on it without anything major so far. Knocking on wood though.
