I'm leaning on the Euros, namely Old Persian (10) and Anthony Van Dyck (5). Will key those two in exactas, mixing in a little bit of Mount Everest (4) and Bricks and Mortar (9), though I'm really trying to beat the latter. If I had to narrow it to one horse, it would be Old Persian.
What a run from Bricks and Mortar. He couldn’t have found that seam a second later. I thought he was cooked with that traffic.
Didn't like the trip for all three of my Euros (though Mount Everest caused his own problems breaking slow, and he likely wasn't going to be good enough anyways).
Great trip for Vino. Successful weekend at the book. Thanks to all those putting in the effort and sharing their handicapping. Really sad Mongolian Groom went down there. I love horse racing because the horses don’t lose sleep over who wins and loses, its all human ego, but when a horse goes down and dies for human ego, that really hurts.
Dancing destroyer is entered in the 5th race at Churchill on Friday. It’s a $150,000 maiden claiming race with a $60,000 purse this is good for two reasons. 1 she will avoid all the high dollar two year old fillies that would be claimed for $150,000 in this raceZ for example in her first race the winner was an American pharaoh filly that won. If she was in this $150,000 claiming race someone would’ve paid the $150k for her second because she is a Florida bred she was already running for $60k purses in Kentucky versus the $90k purses KY breds were running for So this is the perfect spot and the morning odds maker agrees as she is the 9/5 favorite
Also she had a workout on Friday-when she was scratched out of a maiden special race where she was an also eligible-that was the second fastest work at Churchill over 4 furlongs on that date out of 47 workers so good sign there
Was a little pissed she breezed 2/47 on the day she got scratched. She’s trained well since her last race.
Best of luck. I have 50$. No value with the current odds. But I think it's nice having a horse with racing experience under her belt with the sloppy conditions.
Would give her a shot in a 5T turf sprint and if that doesn’t work I would probably drop her to 30k maiden claiming
It pays 10% so $6k Trainer and MyRacehorse take 10% and I think jockey takes 5% for 3rd in KY. So total to owners will be ~4500
Also it probably costs between 2500-3500 each month to keep a horse in training at Churchill Downs so not sure if we should expect a distribution
No I wasn't expecting any cash to transact (plus they mistakenly distributed ~$3 per share after the last race that will be docked against any future distributions), just curious why they haven't updated yet. In the past they've updated within an hour or so of the race.
Trixie Racer is officially entered in the My Trust Cat Stakes at Delta Downs on 11/22. It has a $100,000.00 purse. It will be her first time around two turns. With her breeding and the way she ran her first two races we are hopeful that the stretch out will actually benefit her a lot. I think she will be 2-1 or less when the race goes off.
My racehorse is selling a fully named Amandrea who is starting in a $300,000 grade 3 at CD on Friday. Trained by Asmussen
She got 2nd in this race. Partners collect $20,000. Likely next start is the $100,000 trapeze stakes at Remington on 12.15
https://myracehorse.com/app/#/singleHorseView/241 offering an $800,000.00 two year old that will be trained by baffert.
no idea. not sure if spendthrift is genuine with their "grow the game" though microshares or if they are minimizing their losses on some of these horses by listing them on MRH
Is this the horse some of the guys on here pitched in to buy? Sorry, I fell off the radar. Got busy with work and life.
Nope it’s one I got in a partnership last year we couldn’t get anything together this year Trixie has won 70k her first three races
Partnership has also been a lot of fun. Didn’t know any of them before we got a suite at Remington Park to watch her stakes win and last week we stayed at the Golden Nugget in lake Charles and I bought a party bus to and from the track and got cups made
B Wayne Hughes is pretty sincere about that, their stallion "share the upside" deals are great value.
I agree but if I had a two year old who hadn’t started in November that i bought for $800k and could offload half I would do that in a second
Well you aren't Spendthrift But really just fucking with you, I see what you are saying. I think Quality Road colts can be late to develop too.
Just very easy to be skeptical after all I’ve learned in the horse business I talk to me trainer or his assistant almost every day Very secretive business
so, this colt had his first sprint workout yesterday going 1/16 of a mile in company. he is on the outside. he dusted the horse on the inside. my trainers assistant called me after and was like.... holy fuck that was really impressive. i called my trainer that evening and he was basically like well i'm not going to crown anyone, but that was really really really good https://vimeo.com/manage/379343078/general
also, trixie racer runs in the $100,000 trapeze stakes on sunday at remington park. there was an article today about her in the daily racing form. in 3 races only one horse has beaten her. i hope to keep that streak alive. https://www.drf.com/news/trixie-racer-should-enjoy-return-mile-track-trapeze-stakes
Claimed for $5,000 at Remington Park tonight. Won a 4 way shake. Likely headed to the $5k starter allowance opening day at Sam Houston with a $17k purse on 1/10
