Coworker currently mid flight from Phoenix said he’s in the worst turbulence he’s ever been in. Ts and Ps.
Flying into DFW, have to get to Frisco for a bit but otherwise mostly free. Where is a good area to stay?
Mostly food but trying to get a feel for the town in general. Opening our first store in Frisco in spring and want to find some other potential spots.
TMB will be well represented at the grand opening regarding locations, don't go to another soulless vanilla suburban sprawl Mix come to downtown Arlington. Great spot between Urban Alchemy and Division Brewing
Its a franchise location so not my choice completely on location. Here in Fl we go after more urban dense locations but this seems like a good fit. Got another guy looking to put one in Austin.
we have a popsicle place downstairs from my office but no coffee for some god forsaken reason. this is near TCU in case you're interested
Yeah Frisco is no doubt an excellent location for a business like yours and I hope it does great, but that area represents everything I hate about this metroplex. Your location will no doubt be in a development call The Shops/Shoppes/Parks/Center at [insert random natural feature that no longer exists because it has been paved over] featuring year-old trees surrounded by concrete
area northeast of UTA roughly between Division and Abrams, and Center and Collins seriously Mix TCU would be an excellent spot, or the 7th St area of Ft Worth. There's a Steel City Pops in Southlake - are you similar to them?
Random question -- I am hosting a family reunion next weekend at my house and need to find things for the guests to do. I was thinking of setting up a couple of cornhole boards, but don't want to buy them. Does anyone have a good set I could borrow? Will compensate with leftover booze.
as much as I would love for you to be playing with LSU cornhole boards this weekend, mine are at my brother's house for easy transport to tailgates.
Coming in for the Cotton Bowl. We get in pretty late Friday, think we're gonna go to Gemma for a very late dinner based on a recommendation one of you Dallas guys gave me in the travel thread. Saturday after the game we're gonna hit up Braindead Brewing. The only Dallas brewery I've heard of is Deep Ellum but from what I've read in this thread that place sucks? Anyway we're going to a BYOB spot for dinner after that. Does Braindead sell cans to go and/or growlers or is there somewhere nearby I can grab a 4 or 6 pack? I'd prefer to not have to buy a new growler if I can help it.
deep ellum beer is great but the brewery itself is pretty small and uneventful. braindead is much better as far as actually going
Since you are in the area, you might check out Peticolas and Community. Both are not far from Deep Elum and have pretty cool setups.
Had a good time in your city. Cold as fuck but everyone we encountered was great. Traffic was insane and I don't know how anyone commutes around there without killing themselves. Meddlesome Moth is a great beer spot and had some good brisket at Pecan Lodge.
Mix sorry if I missed it but did you already come though? Was going to say if you are looking at Frisco, you will probably obviously check out the Star area as that is a hot area and the area next to the Toyota Stadium. It’s where they play the DII National Championship and it’s a very busy area for events like Buffet, Soccer games, etc. They are both close to the Tollway and once they straighten out the new construction issues (it’s a legal battle) they will be huge population centers.
Going in across from one of the HS there. Should open in April and we're also probably buying Steel City so we'll be assuming possibly both of their stores in Dallas.
probably going to time up my drive from houston to fort worth to stop here post how you like it plzthx
Congrats there is one of the Steel City ones out in Southlake. Fantastic location and a cool little shopping center. Let is know when it opens and we can have one of those awkward “aren’t you the guy from the Internet” meetups we love to do.
Did not, traffic annihilated us on the way in combined with getting invited to another pre-wedding party so had to head straight for the Fort Worth burbs for that.
College roommate had his rehearsal dinner there too Vodka margs by the pitcher Food was good too People who judge a place that popular by one dish they didn't like are idiots
