What are yalls thoughts on midfield preference? Pick two of Ndombele, DIer, Winks, Sissoko. Seems like Wanyama has been put out to pasture but hes the only real comparison to Dier. Sissoko actually played up on the pitch yesterday and I think Lo celso will play up too. It doesnt seem coincidence that wevere given up goals late with Dier not match fit yet. I actually think Foyth could work as an emergency backup for a like for like Dier swap.
Sissoko is much better at RM where he can cover for Aurier’s runs. Tanguy has to be penciled in every match when fit, the problem is we just don’t have a destroyer to pair him with. I imagine Dier will continue to get every opportunity through at least the winter window.
NDombele or Lo Celso or whoever we buy to be a ball winner (Ndidi would be great but will be hard to get from Leicester)
Meanwhile across North London they have some scrub named Freddie Ljungberg as a caretaker boss lmbo. What a shit club.
Good weekend. Need to keep this momentum. Who thought we’d even flirt with the top four a week and a half ago?
The consolation is that Mourinho showed he's capable of making a fast adjustment by pulling Dier so early this past week.
Sanchez has regressed so much. Winks is just straight garbage. No idea why our best midfielder doesn't start under Jose.
Neither are a true 6 but at least they'll run all over the place, be athletic/strong and have composure on the ball. Injuries have ruined Winks and I don't think the old version is ever coming back.
Aurier addicted to goals. Can't keep his "crosses" away from the frame of the goal/the opposing keeper.
He had Kane wide open on that last one (or next to last one). Anyway, Levy needs to buy more talent. Changing managers was never going to fix that fact.
Aurier was so bad that Sissoko was getting pulled back to help leaving Winks alone in the midfield. That was a miserable game to watch. Im so over Aurier.
Not sure why we don't just play Sissoko at RB. He basically does play there with how much Aurier is out of position.
Feeling like we should have just run a back three, didn't like what Vertonghen contributed down the left.
Btw, not that I've found a clear angle that definitively shows whether Sissoko stepped on Rashford's toes for the penalty call (hence not clear or obvious to overturn or whatever), but he wouldn't have been in that situation if it wasn't for Aurier completely blowing it on the flank to let Rashford get past him and into the box.
So brutal. I’m in London and you wouldn’t even know a game was being played. Was able to stream from my phone, but couldn’t find a pub playing the game. I did the stadium tour today though and that was awesome. Will post pics later.
Right, there was no reason to run up and challenge him. Just stupid. Sissoko was flatfooted and shat that up as well though. Go buy some players, Levy.
I've always heard that we in the US get a much better TV product and way more games on TV then they do in the UK. They still believe the old way of thinking that games shouldn't be put on TV to get people to go to the stadiums. It's almost 2020 England, get it figured out.
the big controversy over there right now is Amazon getting involved in broadcasting games. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...o-tv-football-premier-league-broadcast-stream
Well they also just launched amazon prime premier league yesterday and everyone is trying to figure that out. I’m addition pubs pay a different fee to officially televise games. They spend $1000 per month for each network and now there are three or four. I’m staying in kensington so I went to a Chelsea bar and the games were on it if let nobody could care less.
