So there are a couple gaps here and there (need a WR to step up, need to fill LT), and we need the entire secondary to not be broken, but there are some encouraging signs. Real question is QB -- I have no idea what to expect, but it should be interesting.
Next year: - actual depth on the DL and in secondary - running game should be stronger - no Viska - zero idea who the QB will be gotta get to a bowl. Can’t Scott Frost it year two.
Definitely feels like Kansas is going to fucking throttle us this weekend. It will be much deserved. Stop turning the ball over assholes.
Last night was a brutal watch until the last few minutes. Hoping we’re at least competitive, but I’m not optimistic.
1. Not optimistic about his chances, but hope he tests through the roof. 2. Not particularly concerned about that position group... Feel very good about the depth. 3. Should seal the deal with the wrs on our commit list. Competition next year should be intense.
Yeah, doesn't really bother me that much. I'd be much more upset to lose Landman or Johnson to the draft.
High expectations? Team sucks Low expectations? Team doesn't suck but isn't good, setting up high expectations for the next year. Rinse repeat.
Fairly drama free signing day assuming Clayton doesn't flip. I think we still get Harris. Hope he signs and we stay hush hush until his announcement.
Really curious about safeties next year. Seems like we are banking on converting 1-2 wideouts in class to secondary. Gonzalez, lemonious-craig, carpenter. Would assume at least one (Gonzalez) of that group but would not be shocked by more. Chiv having to carry water for two groups, but damn can he bring in some talent.
AM just gave a crystal ball to the Ohio kid that was looking at a blue shirt. Guessing he just got the upgrade to fully.
That would currently put us on the fringe of a top 25 class. Maybe a few guys (Montana?) get a bump when 247 re does the rankings.
Nothing like waiting it out for two of the highest rated prospects. Does leave us some flexibility in the transfer department if needed I guess.
I do think he could be an asset, but at this point I feel okay about the dl and would prefer we go prep or transfer at a position of need.
