Been looking at Tag's and I only really like their $2k range watches. At that range I would rather get a Tudor.
Local AD called me again today offering up the new BB58 they just got in... told them to keep me in the queue & Ill get the next one.
I would buy this and be very happy with it but how much more would a Speedy or Seamaster be? I do like the Tudor's. https://www.chrono24.com/tudor/heritage-black-bay---m79230n-0002--id7999228.htm#gref
I absolutely love the look of the black bay bronze as well as the wearing of the patina. That said, it apparently wears much larger than the traditional black bay.
i need to go and put my hands on one. I will also go by a jeweler to try and find the omega. Damn things are sold out online.
Loving the look of the Omega Speedmasters, damn might need to get my hands on one of these. Any reputable used online marketplaces?
Speedmasters are fucking awesome. One of the most highly respected and historic luxury pieces you can get for under 5 figures. I just wish Omega would chill the fuck out on all the special editions and variations. It cheapens the brand big time IMO.
I really like the bbb or bb Pepsi knock off. I main problem with the bbb is no metal bracelet, which I like from time to time.
Myron is awesome. He lets you totally customize everything, from stitching type and color, buckle, length, etc. It's pricey, but it should last a really long time. Got my first in 2015 and it's in perfect shape
Myron Rolle? My old nemesis who publicly embarrassed me in high school for wearing a Rutgers sweatshirt? Sorry, not buying.
That was my concern as I have female sized wrists. I have a Tag that’s 41mm and is the biggest I can go without it looking silly. Probably just play it safe and pull the trigger on a Rolex Cellini I’ve been eyeing for a while.
I first learned about Panerai before I got into watches when I was in Miami and saw a million billboards and stopped into one of their boutiques. They’re definitely cool. Big and brash and not everyone’s cup of tea. I guess they were really hot earlier in the decade and their popularity has diminished big time in the last few years. I still believe you should wear whatever you personally like and not give a fuck about what watch cunts think.
I am in love with my Black Bay. Holy shit what a watch. I like how Tudor still offers ETA models at an affordable price with the same high end finishing as their in-house stuff. It runs about a half second fast or slow a day depending on how its rested and I just self-regulate it by resting it in different positions.
for around 1k? I've always liked the look of these. https://www.xetum.com/watches/tyndall/a2.html and my favorite looking watch brand, laco. https://www.laco-watches.com/en/watches/pilot-watch-original
Something is weird in the universe right now... that watch just showed up in a few videos of my YouTube suggestions.
Holy cow...my Oris completely ceased being able to handwind and the rotor is stuck, it does not rotate. I am about to get fucked over by Jomashop aren't I
I use the manufacturer sites, find a local/regional authorized retailer & negotiate from there. I prefer out of state, to avoid sales tax & save an additional 6.5% 10% is standard discount & the minimum I’d accept, but can get more depending on brand/price-point. It will still be more than Jomashop or any of the other gray market sites, but comes with manufacturers warranty.
I’ve used Joma twice in the past and didn’t have any issues. *knocks on wood curious to what the issue is with them as they have a product registration that comes with the box for the warranty.
I didn’t even know you could haggle at an AD? Joma sent me a return slip immediately and didn’t seem to be hassling me. I have to pay for shipping to an address a half mile away from where I live. I’m concerned with the quality of their service staff. I’m sure I won’t have the watch back for weeks and even then I don’t have much faith in running well for very long. Won’t be buying from Joma again. I am fairly sure at this point that it was defective out of the box. I tried handwinding it as soon as I got it and the movement rattled violently if you weren’t very careful. I googled it and people said the movement was “noisy” but I should have known it was not normal.
Y’all - this is fucking crazy: https://www.mbandf.com/en/machines/legacy-machines/lmthunderdome The tourbuillon movement is insane. The 3D effect is ridiculous.
ProducerMichael already has 6. Sad story: my girlfriend's father passed away back in March. He was struggling with multiple myeloma for over 12 years. She was going through his safe and found a watch of his. Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16. Poor guy must have bought it for himself a few years back and probably wore it twice. I know Tag gets a lot of shit and maybe rightfully so, but I'll wear it proudly and it's a very nice piece. If WatchBox has a review on it I'll wear it for sure
well well look at this . I AM STILL ALIVE ! FUCK YOU HAHA ! republicans and democrats guess the trump thred means nothing huh ? guess what simpletons ? I COULD NOT WRITE A CHECK TO SAVE MY WIFE . POLOTICS MEAN NOTHING WHEN YOU DO NOTHING. SO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR THE 4 YEARS BOOMFER , JORTS , 941 . WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR 4 YEARS go down the wrong path ? told you so huh ? are you self abusive ?
I think I remember Jorts passing on this watch. The size (39) makes me a little nervous but I kinda want to try it on. The Tudor bb GMT would likely be the Tudor I would want if given the choice but people love the bb58. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/tudor-black-bay-fifty-eight-review
I did begrudgingly pass, at the time. The bb58 has perfect dimensions, fits under cuff, but difficult to acquire. I’m still on the list & will acquire when available again
Tudor on fire right now imo. I am absolutely in love with my Black Bay 41. Dome the crystal and it is perfect.
I wouldn’t say they are on fire now. BB has been around for 7 years & they’ve merely been rolling out variants of that since. In that time they’ve brought movement in-house, added a Rolex Explorer clone & nothing much else. Doesn’t take away from Tudor being a great brand & greater value, but they haven’t been innovative in any way.
I'm kinda into this watch right now. Spoiler But the $2200 price tag has me thinking that I should wait until February when I get my bonus and spend an extra $1000 on this: Spoiler It's fun to look but I get kinda obsessive about making a choice. The BB58 is so hot right now but I'm 6'5 and the 39mm case makes me think it will be too small.
