Brazil beat Mex (2-1) in the U17 finals. Brazil Got a PK in the 80th and the winner in stoppage time. This is the same Mex squad we completely dominated in the CONCACAF finals. Efra has some pretty great games from the sounds of it. So pathetic/shitty that we lost him.
I’m fine with that tbh. Wicky wasn’t part of the old boys club and I kinda think this latest crop isn’t that good outside of Reyna and probably Busio.
We need a Greg Schiano, Tennessee, fan revolt to get GGG out of power and a Greg Schiano, Rutgers, fan revolt to get a competent person into power.
I’m old enough to remember when Llanez and Araujo were going to flip to el tri the first chance they got
That's part of it, but a couple things IMO 1. He's a bit of a tweener. His playstyle is basically that of an old school #10, but that position doesn't exist anymore. He's a very talented striker/sprayer of the ball, but that's really all he's great at, and you have to be more of a jack of all trades to play as a CAM today. He doesn't have the pace to be a winger and he doesn't have the physicality or defensive chops to play in the middle of the field. 2. Bit of Adu syndrome. He's from near Atlanta, got a fat contract for a prospect at a really young age, and is apparently quite the partier. He got dropped from the squad/suspended by multiple coaches in a row for not taking his career serious enough. (He was out partying the night before the championship game when Tata was there and got suspended for that. FDB basically made the same comments publicly about his maturity last year)
I think lack of not being a shit head has more to do with it. Should of shipped him to the Norwegian league or someplace where he’d be forced to focus solely on soccer and not night life.
I don’t understand how anyone still takes anything Kleiban says seriously. He also said a year ago that Reyna wasn’t very good and he was getting offers based on “name.” Yeah, Claudio Reyna was just a giant in Europe, dude. Guy loves to suck his own dick.
The top team in the Bundesliga just dropped him right back in the starting lineup after a months long injury, but sure, nothing to be impressed by.
