i haven't read about this deal, how is it different from the last one in ways that might peel off more votes
Most things are similar to May's deal. Key differences that I've seen are: (1) The close economic relationship is no longer in the withdrawal agreement, but in the Political declaration which isn't binding. Basic idea is UK will have more freedom to diverge economically; (2) Northern Ireland - pretty complicated, but it's almost like a NI only backstop, which of course is what the EU originally wanted, but EU made a pretty big concession, and there is now a unilateral exit mechanism that can be theoretically exercised by the Stormont Assembly in Belfast every 4 years. Getting some votes from Conservative holdouts due to (1) primarily, and so far a few Labour switchers in leave areas that just want to get it over with.

Yeah, it’s hard to know what the numbers are exactly. Letwin says he supports the deal and just wants to ensure they don’t crash out without a deal if they can’t get the withdrawal agreement passed in time, but Labour is seeing it as an opportunity to potentially delay decision. Odd.
Withdrawal agreement bill published. First vote tomorrow. They’re trying to ram it through by Thursday. I’ve been pretty critical of some of the opposition tactics trying to disrupt Brexit completely. Now you’ve got government trying to ram through a huge constitutional change and greatly limiting time for committee stage, review, etc. Cramming it all in so short to meet some artificial deadline of October 31st is stupid.

In theory, either remain as 1 country or leave as 1 country. In practice, it means Northern Ireland will have a lot closer relationship to EU than rest of UK.

I mean, the U.S. has literally done it for decades in South and Central America + the Middle East. You seem to hold democracy as the ultimate arbiter, but that's a fantasy world you're living in. The only question is, is there a line or not at which democracy is either no longer defined as democracy or ceases to be your ultimate arbiter?

Both parties of capital are trying to throw whatever mud they can to stop the absolute boy from winning but it’s not working. The FT is currently warning currency traders not to take the exit polls seriously while betting markets have been flat all week w/ Boris in the lead. I’m guessing it’s bad news if the FT is telling you the exit polls could be wrong if their interest is a stable pound. I don’t know, just a hypothesis.
