fuck actively searching for those things. if one presents itself in close proximity to where it could bite my dog, its going to get the shovel however.

Sadly, I fear the beautiful rat snake’s life was sacrificed for this southern black racer to live on...
been seeing some invasive Cuban tree frogs all around my house/yard recently. the guy below was actually in the cupholder of our stroller before I launched him into the yard.
In his collection? Seen him play with 1 in a video but it wasn't his Here's another 1 of their crazy friends
AIP quoted the wrong post. It was me telling you that your new neighborhood is full of pygmy rattlesnakes.
Ahh yea new neighborhood is known to have a lot of snakes. I've already looked into methods of trying to limit the amount I end up with in my yard. No idea if any of those methods work but worth a shot with a 2 yr old running around.
as pretty muck a king cobra expert at this point, they focus on movement and you want them focused on your face since it’s out of the strike range. You’re probably fucked if it sets sight on your arm Tyler got bit bc the snake had just shed and they lose most their sight after and they were handling it then. Learned cobras are deaf so snake charmers are frauds and a lot of those crazy cobra videos are bc people sew their mouths shut
Jesus. And you Americans think Australia is dangerous af when it comes to snakes & spiders - I've never had to take my life in my own hands putting out the washing in the backyard!!
Last week, about 20 miles from my parents’ place in Eastern Ohio, the Ohio DNR responded to a report of a 57 inch timber rattler that had been hit by a car. There were reports of rattlers over the Summer, but this is the first confirmed siting. They are endangered in Ohio, so it’s bad this one got hit. This is also over 150 miles from the only other known signings in Ohio, indicating that maybe the population is expanding. This is also about twice the size seen in the seven more southern counties were Ohio has them.
It’s terrible one this big got hit, but it’s nice to see one this big so far out of its normal range.
Pretty sure it’s the below. Its length contracts a bit and pigment gets noticeably darker as we approach winter: Spoiler
Correct me if I’m wrong @Owlslru, but the tail being lost has same regenerative attributes of legged lizards right?
Correct, though I’ve seen tons of snakes missing tails. The name glass lizard refers to the species’ propensity for dropping its tail like shattered glass.
Woman finds 10-foot python in her Christmas tree By Amy Woodyatt, CNN Updated 6:05 AM ET, Fri December 13, 2019 Leanne Chapman was alerted to the python's presence by birds "kicking off on the balcony." (CNN)There are many ways to decorate a Christmas tree -- from monotone minimalism to old-school kitsch. Spoiler But for one woman in Australia, the seasonal theme was very big snakes, when she got home to find a 10-foot python adorning her tree. Leanne Chapman and her partner returned to their home in Brisbane, Queensland on Thursday, and noticed a commotion on their balcony. "We came home from work and there's a couple of butcher birds that visit every day and they were just kicking off on the balcony, going crazy," Chapman told CNN affiliate 7News. The snake eventually slithered away. Chapman, who is originally from England, told 7News that her partner started to video the birds, and leaning on the tree -- not realizing what lay wrapped around it. "As he's turned around and stepped back, he didn't realise he was leaning on the Christmas tree with the snake wrapped around it," she told 7News. The couple left the snake alone, and later that night, it slithered away. "It wasn't bothered by us. It just stayed there for a good few hours as we watched it through the window," Chapman said. It was only when the reptile moved from its position that the couple realized how big it was. "It was big -- really big," Chapman said. "After the initial shock wore off, it was a really beautiful snake," she said. "It was actually quite nice to see it that close up because I've never seen anything like it before," she added.
That guy is a pet and well fed and taken care of. That girl is too big for him even if he was starving in the wild. Nothing stupid about it iyam.
