Also, the article says it being live service is not yet determined: When asked whether this new BioShock could include live-service elements, especially in light of speculation about 2K investing in live-service gaming in new Novato-area job listings, Gilmore neither confirmed nor denied they might be added. "Providing an outstanding gaming experience to our audience will always be paramount to us, including offering innovative ways to remain engaged with our game. While it’s premature for us to confirm anything today, as we build out our vision, it will be incredibly important for us to listen to our future customers for guidance, as there isn’t a ‘solution for all’ answer," Gilmore said.
We shall see if they listen, because I can guarantee his future customer guidance will be almost unanimous against making this live service
There’s also the idea that Infinite was a huge monetary investment for 2k and they didn’t even see a return. That may just be looking for a way to invest in the game and make money on it. me personally, idgaf unless Adam Levine is involved
Adam Devine. what the hell would Bioshock need live service for? Maybe a co-op mode, optional, but no thanks. Bioshock is a game to enjoy by yourself, requiring no internet connection.
Sucks that Ken doesn’t have rights to it. not looking forward to giant online sandbox with Plasmids/Vigors
I’m not tryna offend anyone (I really am working on my cunt factor) but film in general hasn’t been the same since marvel has ruled the roost and single player games (outside of the lumps PlayStation is willing to take) are trending that way twords more soulless multiplayer fare. As an old cunt gamer who fell in love with gaming 2000-2010, it doesn’t make me happy
would be disappointed if this gets fucked up like the most recent Fallout OG BioShock is such an amazing game. Infinite was fun as hell Marvel movies are really lame
i cant imagine it being as bad as 76. 2k may want all of the money they can get but they also still make really good games.
That's true. I think it's going to be good, but it would clearly be better if they had Leon Levine involved
with what little time I have now (2 year old), I play some cod and elder scrolls online on the weekends with others, but on the week days when I only have an hour or two to play before bed I regularly boot up dark souls 1-3 or Diablo 2. Just something about getting into a great single player game that can’t be replicated. Fallout 4 and the giant New Vegas mod will get some play in the summer months if I ever get to take a vacation.
There are a bunch of great indie films too, but the point remains. The push towards franchises in film and the same general type of online multiplayer game has been a huge net negative for both industries from a consumer perspective
