Is Oklahoma the first real opponent we’ve played this year? Seems like every score alert Ive seen on my phone so far it’s been against like greater metro upstate community college. Should this actually tell us what kind of team we are?
We played a few at the beginning when the team was still gelling. That's how every Nov/Dec feels before league play though.
Dazon Ingram is okay but he should be a superstar. My man you are 6'7 PG and can't finish at the rim half of the time.
We scored 26 pts in about 10 min and then proceeded to score 26 pts the rest of the game and only lost by 1. this is why college basketball is gross
SEC about to make our entire athletic budget off of TV payouts alone but LET’S see ucF WIn if they hAVE To PLaY an sEC scheDuLe
So uh does anyone care about this game either playing or just watching? I could easily see us lose this one since no one gives a shit.
I’m going to it but it was kind of a last minute, might as well go since it’s in Tampa type of thing. Supposed to be shitty weather all day so that doesn’t help the excitement
Literally no one is going to watch it. You think people around the country care to watch a meaningless football game in the rain at 11:30am west coast time on the last day before Christmas?
Why is the game at 230? We are the only bowl game today, should be 7-8 PM. I'll be going to Tampa but not to this shit game.
Ok this article has me excited. "He's a cool, calm collected guy, but he puts the work in," UCF receiver Gabe Davis says. "That's how you get confidence. He's in the hotel room before the game, calling every single call you give to the O-line as soon as we see the signal. This guy was overpreparing -- he was ready to go. Every time he looked at the signal, he went straight to the O-line, knew exactly what to say. He comes to me and tells me why he threw a certain ball. He can tell me what the safety and everybody are doing and why he made the decision. He overprepares -- he knows what he's doing out there." That attention to detail is something his father instilled in him. But Gabriel doesn't have much to say about the stats he put up. What sticks with him the most is the 9-3 record. Especially after UCF played in New Year's Six games the past two years. "I don't ever want to go home for Christmas again," Gabriel says. "That's my goal. I want to be in the New Year's Six for the rest of it. Not taking for granted a bowl game, but there's always that fire in you that wants to get to the top of the top." https://www.espn.com/college-footba...awaii-allows-ucf-dillon-gabriel-keep-thriving
Honestly our biggest breakdowns started with the OL in those losses which led to some freshman mistakes and lack of run game support to help bail him out. Then not putting in Mack to try to change it. So if he continues to work like that and improve his running ability too then he can be another great QB.
I would assume all of them have remained around the team to keep working on their skills. Hope Killins gets a combine invite because I need to see his 40.
I thought this was already announced, maybe just not officially? yeah I’m sure we let them use the facilities through pro day the combine. Their success only adds to our reputation and is good for recruiting
Our best RB, WR, CB, and a DE are sitting out. The line has shrunken the past few days. I think we still *should* cover, but if we don’t, we get to use the “we didn’t want to be there” excuse.
Reg season I'd pile on that line hard, bowl game who knows? We should win comfortably but effort and focus will be interesting.
GOL went like 100-0 against Marshall. Pretty sure we beat them with Rob Calabrese as QB1. Fuck Marshall is all I’m getting at.
