That episode should be a crowd pleaser going of the critique so far in S1 in here. Finally know what the endgame is for the season. Spoiler was actually pretty sad about Kuiil. Should have had rebuilt IG11 with them for protection damnit. big fan of speeders in desert
The show gave us Spoiler Werner Herzog saying “I want to see the baby” and for that, I am extremely appreciative
Best episode since 3 and maybe best of the season so far. Shifting back to the main arc of the show elevated it immediately. Everything felt important and purposeful again.
and so obvious that it would do just that. What makes the bottle episodes infuriating but seriously great episode
Spoiler IG11 turned on Kuiill right? Ship door was open. Dude was smoking dead and I don’t remember seeing the speeder guys having guns
Aside from whatever the speeder is armed with, they have guns in their boots. The main thing is that Gus gets a tie fighter with foldable wings.
A lot of people do, but they even show them using the speeder gun in the post episode storyboard scene credits.
I think next week is just Mando mercing the shit out some Imps and I can't wait. Also first time Storm Troopers have been useful since ESB (SW timeline) or RogueOne (movie production timeline)
Awesome episode and def the best imo but I came into this thread to get takes on one thing and how has no one mentioned Spoiler: Spoiler Baby yoda choking a bitch. Are we going with he thought mando was in trouble? Or does he have a little evil in him?
Now I don’t claim to be a scholar on the subject. But isn’t the Force Choke a power that requires the use of the dark side?
Spoiler If you can throw objects around with your mind I dont know why you wouldnt be able to also choke someone. I'm guessing this distinction comes from like 20 years of star wars video games and the necessity for the powers in them to seem balanced
Prediction: Spoiler Seems like the droid is going to protect Baby Yoda and the Mando will use those special rockets he got in his hands from when he got his new Beskar armor
Really liked the episode. Had been wondering what exactly was the purpose of the show, as it seemed he was just protecting baby Yoda and collecting bounties. I really like Pascal, but he seems bland in this series.
Pascal isn’t in the suit, it’s a stunt double. Pascal actually has the guy meet with him to talk about the choices he made for movements so he can match with his voice. of course, if/when he takes the helmet off it’ll be Pascal.
Mostly yes, but there are a few shots of Pascal in the suit. All the action is the stunt double, though.
the only episode that Pascal isn't in the suit the entire time is the Seven Samurai episode because he had a conflict with his Broadway show.
I’d take the suit off as little as possible hopefully he got it in his contract to at least keep a helmet
All the at the Spoiler darksaber also opening scene may have been an homage to Spoiler and the two troopers were Spoiler Jason Sudeikis and Adam Pally
Do the episodes release on Fridays? See posts from this morning with spoilers, want to make sure they're not from the latest episode.
amazing episode from beginning to end. Taika is an amazing director. Dialogue, subtlety, action, pathos. So so good. The final episode of The Mandalorian's first season does for me what The Rise of Skywalker did not... It was steadily paced It had a clear and focused story to tell It had stakes and sacrifices that were earned and which were permanent It used its lore to add to the story as opposed to making the lore a substitute for the story All I want for Season Two is for live action Sabine and Ahsoka to go looking for it. I liked the hint that season 2 will be about the search for baby yoda's race/homeworld. Lots of great lore about to come our way
Would be cool to also see Katee Sackhoff as live action Bo Katan but I’m afraid Gideon having it means she’s dead
