    One of my grandmothers is very manipulative, and go figure. She got “sick” today and now I’m running her her food and gifts from Christmas Eve. Won’t be home until after midnight because no one else in the family wants to see her. I should have drank tonight.

    Was with the in-laws for Christmas eve tonight and my grandfather in law decided it was a good time to call a family meeting to announce how his estate was going to leave money to everyone once he dies.

    Not sure if that is unusual as in my family never talks about things like that, but I definitely think Christmas Eve is an odd time to announce this...

    Hoo boy! Just had to help my BIL out together a 21 speed bike.

    Then had to help SIL put together a small gymnast bar for a 6 year old.

    I am not the most handy person. Somehow they are worse. Our poor kids.

    I look forward to waiting how long it is before the first remark about us trying to have kids will be(ive got a bet with the wife @ 22 min+-3 min. :bang: Its like old fucks we like having freedom, not being tied down, and going on vacations anywhere with anyone we choose regardless if they have kids or not.

    I have a younger sister who is 15 years younger than I am, so there was a point that I would help my dad assemble the Santa stuff for her. When I was 21, she got one of those trampolines with the net around it. Dad and I got into the whiskey at dinner, went to midnight mass, and then started back drinking before setting out to put it together. We learned that putting together a trampoline is not only physically demanding, but also requires more attention that we could give it. If you don’t do the springs in the right order, the tension is too much to attach the other side. We learned that and several other lessons the hard way that night. The sun was up before we finished.

    Put up a trampoline last Christmas
    Holy shit it took 3 adult men almost all night

    Pretty chill X-mas after a crazy thanksgiving (in this thread). Oldest came over last night and we watched movies, brought my grand puppy and played with our dog. Everyone is just getting up from a nap now and I assume I’ll be listening to my 13 year old sons present into most of the night (fender electric guitar). Happy holidays everyone!!!
