My no ax , no rage , no son fight was on GMGoW difficulty hence why it took 30 minutes to kill the bitch.
I started my second playthrough on GMGOW but I never went back and finished. Kind of ran out of gas. Keep meaning to go back.
Yeah, I just started it right after my first playthrough and was just ready to move on to a new game. Enough time has passed now it feels fresh again.
When she dashes to your left, it's the blockable slashes, when she dashes to your right it's the unblockable stab.
Having the slow time and easier parry talismans as enchants kind of makes NG+ a breeze even on GMGOW compared to fresh GMGOW
Made the mistake of doing my first playthrough on GmGoW and I'm still stuck on the Musphelheim trials. Have beaten everything else, but Musphelheim is keeping me from getting the platinum
Yeah, that's why I didn't want to do my first playthrough on the hardest difficulty because it said you can't lower it if you get stuck.
The kill x targets within the ring (rings also moving) challenge trial is basically pure luck if you get through it on GMGoW, it was the only part of the game where I felt it was stupid instead of challenging.
Hell, I tried this on normal and it seemed like I was killing guys within the circle and it wasn't counting.
There's shorta a way to cheese it. In your Blades skills, there is one that lets you chain and then explode enemies (by holding L2, or R2 i think?), so I'd grab a bunch of them then just explode juggle them over and over again.
Just received a platinum avatar set from PlayStation for being a very platinum god of war boi. Maybe my BB reward is next
I hope for the next installment they add in aerial combat and better travel mobility. The 1 continuous shot thing was cool but I think it seriously held some aspect of the game back, like a fast travel system that works.
Started the game over with all my gear (complete Niflheim armor and Infinity Gauntlet) I earned from my first playthrough. It's not even fair, so I'm trying to speed run it. 2 hours in and I've already made it BACK to Helheim with Balder
Started this a few weeks ago after finishing Witcher 3. Holy shit this game is amazing and addicting as hell. I just finished the chisel mission and I’m struggling to put it down and pay attention to my family.
It was really great. I was so mad my wife happened to get home right as that whole thing was getting started because she’s over there wanting to catch me up on her day and I’m like “stfu there’s Athena.”
I got platinum on this over a year ago and it is still the game I compare absolutely everything to. What a perfect experience.
Watch this when you've finished the game, documentary on the making of the game, the Christopher Judge stuff bit about him pouring his heart into the role like a letter to his children was just fantastic
My daughter wanted to watch me play. Made it through the stranger fight on new game flawlessly and she’s as awestruck as I’d have hoped. Father/ Daughter time with video games is about as good as it gets for this old nerd
Just finished Star Wars, loved it. Think I’ll come back to GoW now and finish it. I’ve got such a backlog. Start stuff then never finish.
I was able to buy this for $7 through CDKeys. I borrowed a friend's physical copy and beat it last year, but this will be a game I'll come back to numerous times - just a hands down all time classic, if not the best game of this generation.
Yea I’m at the point where I can do the last mission of the main storyline and I’m refusing to do it for now. I’m just going around killing ravens, finding hidden stuff, and collecting mist echoes.
Oh I know. I just always prefer to do everything else possible, then beat the game and put it down after the credits. Just a weird habit I’ve developed whenever possible.
Ijs, what you’re trying to do is a huge undertaking and it may dilute the remainder of your game. Plus, I’m heavily invested in your reaction to the game
A fresh GMGoW playthrough is among the top 2-3 hardest experiences I've had in gaming, especially the first few hours with a lvl 1 axe and no skills/runic attacks
