When Spotted Cow came along it was before most of the craft beer craze. It was more seen as an alternative to macro brews. I prefer other New Glarus beers if I had my choice but it's fine.
I was in Alabama for Black Friday and I think they still dont get Bourbon County so I didn't try. Walked into a local store yesterday and they had bottles of regular and Cherry and then a couple of the verticals. Gladly scooped them up. Idk how it compares to the other stouts now bc I don't have the time to follow it like I used to but I still enjoy them.
And shame on me for not posting this a few weeks ago when I got it. marcus randomly sent me a box out of nowhere. All the Casa Agria. Love you, handsome. Wife loves you more though.
Surly has made its way to Arkansas. No Darkness that I've seen but got some Todd The Axe Man a couple days ago and enjoyed.
Was in White Plains, NY for work this week and found an awesome brewery near my hotel. Name is kinda cheesy, but the beers were phenomenal. This was an all galaxy NEIPA.
Shiki. Looks like it's actually a sushi place but the ramen was really good. May only be available for lunch.
Going to VT this Thursday for the first time in a couple of months Damon Flora Cherry Juicy Double Citra gonna be a terrible day
Going to NYC today for 4 nights and staying south of west village. Any recs for breweries or beer bars in lower Manhattan?
Check beermenus and go to the place which has the most beers up your alley. Or the ones that have hill farmstead on tap
No breweries in manhattan - if you travel over to Brooklyn there’s Grimm, other half, interview and a few other good ones. Beer bar wise blind tiger is the classic and it’s around there. Fools gold is a good spot as well.
One Mile House, lower East side. Drank my weight in HF Susan and OH stuff there. We would find good stretches of bars all around the city and just pop in and out looking for OH, Grimm, and HF.
