Just like our daughter except she doesn't cry at all, gets legit scratches, and goes right back to annoying the cat.
Sneaky has taken a liking to hanging out on the carpet under the bed in the spare bedroom/storage room
one more free feeder story. I got my cat just the auto-refilling water one. I came home and the floor was soaked and all of the water was gone from the feeder so I thought, obviously, it leaked. After inspection I couldn't find the leak so maybe I just didn't tighten it enough. So I refilled it and made sure it was correct. Next day, floor soaked, all water gone. Actual issue: My cat was pawing at the water bowl until all of the water was gone.
Mine does this, infuriating. Sticks his paw in the water and licks his paw, spilling everywhere. Why he feeds in the bathroom
Oh mine didn't even lick his paws. Just played with the water and splashing it out until there wasn't any left. He was a kitten at the time
Any advice on getting your existing cat to warm up to a new kitten? We’ve got the kitten set up in the guest room right now and the older cat still hisses when we give them facetime with each other.
It took a good year before our old cat was cool with the new one. He was a dick for a long time. I think he gave up and realized new cat wasn't going anywhere.
Well decided to replace that carpet he is laying on. Rolled it up and put it downstairs until I figure out what I’m going to do with it. Well lo and behold he decided to wiggle up inside the old rolled up carpet. Thinking I might just keep it where I have the cat tree and food dishes since that’s where he and the other cats like to hang around the most.
I tried to get a picture of the three barn cats as they were sitting in the sun together. The white one was never around humans except for one uncle who would come out and give them a weekly feeding. He is so damn skiddish that pointing my phone towards them caused him to bolt and thus scare the gray one. He watches me pet and hand food to the other two and is slowly warming up but it's going to be a process. He's by far the best mouse hunter here on the bright side.
The two running off in that picture are males, the black one is female. I have an appointment for her next week. I have two neighbors in a one mile radius and was debating if I could get away with just doing the female. Then I found out the neighbor about 3/4 of a mile off as the crow flies have 29 cats running around their farm at last count I'm intending to take care of the males before they start wandering more in warmer weather. I took the now housecat who gets chased off by the black one in yesterday as she was in heat the past couple of weeks and outside a couple of times, but somehow didnt get pregnant per the vet. In retrospect I feel dumb as shit, but thus is all a learning process never having been around cats. She has been on my lap all day and I figure it's the least I can do being a glorified bed. Still wearing my pajamas like a fucking bum
my mom & dad do that too (and have for years) because theirs would be out knocking shit over & causing all kinds of havoc in the house if they didn’t lock them up
Do this as well. Sneaky loves to meow his head off and is very loud so have to confine him downstairs. One of the others likes to vomit up hair balls in the worst places possible, and the third sometimes gets poop in her butt fur and will drag her butt all over the place when it happens. So they get confined to the half of the basement where we keep the food, water, and litter box every night. It’s a large area with plenty of room to roam around and lots of toys and different things to sleep on and in that will keep them warm.
Apparently I adopted a kitten with a parasite. This is day 3 of him on meds and I never thought I’d be so happy to see a solid turd.
My cat also gets banished to the 3 seasons room when she’s meowing like crazy. However, she meows because she wants out there or wants to go on a walk. It’s a win / win, sort of.
Cats are so funny...we got them one of those water fountain things, they starred at it for 10 mins trying to figure it out.
Willow is already warming up to Cotton. She grooms him and they stalk each other with no hissing or meowing from either.
