Nah, we missed a lot. But thier could go inside and shoot at will and we couldn’t do a fucking thing...
My first trip to Bud Walton. Great atmosphere, shitty results. When Calipari got tossed, it was looking good. We went cold and they started making shots. Getting killed on the boards was the difference.
This has been an ongoing thing for a while now. The student section bought out every shark costume a few years back to call themselves “Skarkansas”. It was when Sharknado was a thing. I thought it was hilarious.
so... what really sucks about the back to back losses is, and maybe people feel differently, but i'm not even really upset. More lethargic than anything because i'm just used to Arkansas being garbage and it seems par for the course... not saying we are, but we definitely don't belong in the top 25...
We were dogs for a reason. We played like absolute shit and still kept it close. We are 14-4 when most including myself probably figured we’d be 11-7 or 12-6 at best. These next 5 games are huge, gotta get Isaiah Joe right and keep Mason aggressive. Some of our bigs are starting to play better. Been the most disappointed in Desi and his horrid perimeter shooting after shooting 43% from three last year.
No one gave us a chance to do anything this year, and rightly so. We have no inside presence whatsoever, and are forced to rely entirely on outside shooters running set plays. Mike never taught anything like Muss so most expected a big learning curve and growing pains. 14-4 would have been laughable and a pipe dream a couple months ago. This year was never the year. I'm beyond happy.
I am happy for the record no doubt but if we continue to play like this against most teams, we will struggle and lose alot this season just because of size... and Isiah has been non-existent the past 3 games...
i think people have figured out that joe can't dribble. if i'm muss i may just have them not come into the facility for 2 days. these guys have to be tired because of the short rotation i think it was the right call to let cylla play some minutes last night.
Also look where Chad finished on the list. https://collegefootballnews.com/2020/01/college-football-head-coaches-ranking-all-130-seasons-2019
Down by 11 at Indiana, Ole Miss, and Alabama, and all were come from behind wins. Fact is, we are a mediocre team with some major deficiencies, and yet we're winning.
Have said this previously, but .500 in conference play with this team would be a serious achievement by muss
Muss is taking advantage of a “down” year in college basketball. And that speaks to his coaching ability IMO
Seems like we are going to land #Clemson Tigers DT grad transfer Xavier Kelly who visited this past weekend. Y’all aren’t off the hook for Chad for a while, but this is a solid start. Any more cast offs you want to send our way will be appreciated.
There's a particularly cruel twist to my miserable sports existence wherein one of my alma mater's rival enjoys dynastic success and the other alma mater picks up said rival's castoffs. Really great stuff.
Henderson is the first consensus 4* OL to sign with Arkansas since Sam Pittman left Bret's staff and started our nosedive to self-immolation.
OL Jalen St John commits to Arkansas over Mizzou. Another nice get land Malik Hornsby at 2pm and we’ll call it a class. Not top 25, but should be right around 30th which is pretty great considering we were like 118th In December
