Zahid needs the Hodge. Shame he lost 4x over some stupid ass headgear violation vs a dude stalling all match.
He'll get it if he wrestles enough matches with his international schedule, but, yeah, that one will always sting a bit
Pretty sure that Hall needs to get a tech or pinfall for ASU to win the dual. I believe OSU wins on criteria if Hall wins by major.
Takes awhile to get the buckeye stink off of kids. Either way, sure seems like Snyder is barely a medal threat now.
sad what nlwc coaches have done to bo’s international career. Never gave him a chance. looking forward to his mma career when he will actually have a chance to win championships.
no. He’s always lost matches even when he was winning world titles. not prepared to say he’s not world class, but that’s the worst he’s ever looked, including snyderlaev II
He got majored but Decatur had 3 takedowns to 1 for Gross, our mat wrestling continues to amaze. Folk is stupid so whatever.
JO looked great too, rough loss to Bajrang. We’re deep at 57 and 65 but not sure we have top of the podium contenders in those depths, JO might be getting there though. Dake is a problem at 74 though, for Burroughs and the world
And Yianni beat up Bajrang at beat the streets. On another note, I'm fascinated by Bajrang. He is a world class wrestler in a place with little to no infrastructure for wrestling. His day job is as a train station ticket agent, which means he's in the poor class of India's caste system. Like how did this happen? Either way, if there's a wrestler not from the US that I cheer for on an international level, it's him.
That led to actually look and see what kind of infrastructure India has with wrestling. Pretty interesting -- they all start wrestling in the mud.
I thought Decatur looked good for a true freshman going up against someone like Gross. Besides Elijah Cleary & Malik Hienselmen, I like this team. I’m even coming around on gas tank Gary.
Quinn Kinner should be 157 sometime soon so at least get someone with a bit of talent at 157. Just gonna go do something else whenever Malik is up, same thing every match with him. Doubt he weighs over 115.
I have no clue what your lineup is but 125 and 157 will be yours easily. I know you guys are #1 and have Marinelli, Lee, DeSanto, which will most likely all be wins for you as well. Pletcher is vastly improved from let year and Moore should win. What’s your lineup look like?
Jordan Decatur at 133 and Rocky Jordan at 184 are coming along well. Kaleb Romero at 197 and Ethan Smith at 165 are solid. Don’t love Gas Tank Gary, but he’s all we got at 225 until Gavin Hoffman gets there.
Sasso can beat Lugo. In a road dual match, not a chance. Rocky and Gary probably have equally small chances. Romero keeps improving but vs Kemerer, not happening. I'd be fine with 2 wins and nobody being too embarrassed besides Malik who will be pinned in under 45 seconds.
So I'm an Iowa fan/native living in Columbus and actually have OSU wrestling season tickets. Covelli is awesome and the atmosphere has been great for the home duals I've made it to so far. Here's how I have Friday night going. 125 - Lee TF in the 1st 133 - Desanto MD but could be a TF. Decatur is fun to watch but he doesn't have the tank to hang with Desanto. 141 - Pletcher MD 149 - Lugo wins a close match but wouldn't be shocked to see Sasso win. He's been great outside of getting caught vs VT. 157 - Young MD..could be a TF but Young isn't known for his offense. 165 - Marinelli MD 174 - Kemerer D...close match but Romero isn't beating Kemerer in Carver 184 - Assad D 197 - Moore D HWT - Cassiopi D
spencer fall 6-0 Desanto md 10-0 (def don’t see a tech) Pletcher md 10-4 Sasso dec 10-7 Young dec 13-7 Marinelli dec 16-7 Kemerer dec 19-7 Assad dec 22-7 Moore dec 22-10 Cassioppi fall 28-10 could get ugly
he literally beat luge last year. Gary traubs chances of beating cassioppi aren’t even 1/10th of sassos chance of beating lugo
