i ain’t paying that much to see anyone unless Jerry and Brent rose from the dead and the boys got back together
Yea, $600 before travel or hotels is patently absurd. It's a damn shame they turned it into a Boomer cash grab, such is life I guess.
I mean yeah l. It was more of joke of how pricey some tix are. There are tons of dates and shows that if magical possible I would pay 600 or more to go see.
For those digging Goose. The Xmas show was nice. Watched last night All I Need is always a good jam, but they raged that Carol Bells after it too. Yeti always a fun jam
All I Need is coming, though it's not here quite yet I am obsessed with Slow Ready right now. I like So Ready, but Slow Ready >>>> So Ready. Some other favorites: Creatures Into The Myst Arcadia Tumble Hot Tea Drive Like pretty much any song where Peter is doing his Handini runs while Rich can play whatever over it. I didn't catch them before Peter joined, and goosemas was the first time I heard the other guy. Rich shreds but the addition of Peter on guitar and keys really pushed them forward. Yeti is a song he brought from his old band.
that 11/15 all I need is pretty fire. Came after the escape cover to start the show. And yes Slow > So
yeah I never went to any shows when I lived up there but it's been around a while. I think Panic played up there once and I know TTB has a couple times. Think the Avett Bros played up there when I lived in Fayetteville but I didn't go.
I just can’t get into Pigeons. If it was close to home I would go see them, but wouldn’t want to travel for it.
Their lead singer is too much. Rest of the band is great. Would not see them again unless it was free.
First time I saw PPPP he was wearing superhero pajamas, bouncing around like a lunatic...really turned me off a bit. I've only seen them twice and both times was given a ticket....they're OK.
Tickets for PPPP & Goose at Tabernacle 3/14/20 went on sale just now on pigeon's website. Presale code is 'Presto.' It looks like tickets are all GA though which sucks. I'd prefer to reserve a spot in lower balcony.
I don’t know why people are continuously surprised by these things. 2.0/3.0 has pretty much been an endless string of Phish doing things people said they would never do.
Never play Red Rocks again. Never play Bonnaroo. Never play a festival at Indio. Never play 13 shows in a row at MSG.
Been a classic Strangefolk kind of day and felt like sharing. Reid my favorite lyricist besides Hunter. This not near his best lyrics, but still awesome.
I saw the @lotgossip post on Insta saying the same thing, but that seems like a lot for a Phish show. Haven't they had trouble selling out Lakewood the past few times they've played there (it seats 18.5k)? That's why they typically play Alpharetta to guarantee a sell out?
No, I’m pretty sure 3.0 Lakewood shows have all been sellouts. but yeah, I don’t think they will sellout 35k for 2 nights. If they do announce a sellout it will be the “softest” sellout ever.
Dead and Co announced for Jazz Fest. Means the boys will probably be all over town playing their side projects and sit ins late night
For sure will be hitting up late night Melvin Seals JGB show after JRAD http://www.jazzfestgrids.com/second_weekend/
Here’s first weekend. Still some stuff to fill in both weekends. I’ll be in NOLA second weekend http://www.jazzfestgrids.com/first_weekend/
They morph over time and continue to be updated as more bits of info are gathered and holds are confirmed. The general framework is usually right but things are subbed in and out as the announcement approaches. We should be very close to the announcement now though (maybe Tuesday) so it’s beginning to get very accurate.
I have hotels booked in Atlanta, Atlantic City, and Denver. I’ll also be in Birmingham and at Deer Creek Direct flights from Birmingham to Philly (for AC run) are only $260

I'm particularly skeptical of shows 8/4-5, but I can see it especially if they drop another show or two, like 8/11, when I'm still skeptical they'll play Hershey vs. the hairspray tour next door (though other venues in PA and upstate NY may be in play), 8/9, which I'm not sure gets a third night at Creek (they looked early at Star Lake, but don't think it's happening; I've also heard mention of Blossom but would guess DTE myself), or even 7/26 (SoCal off the map?)
Listening to the TAB 1/16 show, I'm reminded of how fun those shows are. I would never use the word "better", but there is a very good chance that my favorite concert I will ever go to will be a Trey show. (First Bonnaroo).
I dig most of their cover choices. They also play Don't Do It from The Band. Their cover of Atlas is better than the Wood Bros imo, and I love WB. They were just added to LOCKN' Festival for Friday.
All I Need from the Vermont show (linked and discussed many times) is sublime. Adding time stamped link in the middle of it. I think it started around 1hr 19mins or so in.
