I guess they shoot confetti off in the student section when they first score so they did that and a few pieces hit the court and USF bench area so their coach went to the refs and got a technical called on us and it looked like it might be the difference in the game. But nope, 9 in a row in basketball and 3 in a row in football.
Wow so we went from having DG and Mack to getting Quadry back and a new commit in the same day? QB room is full even without KZ. Truly shocked no one left.
I'd rather ride pine at UCF than play at some crappy FCS. But I get why QBs especially want to go play so a bit surprised he came back.
If I truly thought I had NFL level talent, I'd rather give myself every chance to be seen at some school, crappy FCS or not, where I could show out. NFL scouts will find you wherever you play. If Qadry never sees the field here, he has almost no chance of getting to the NFL, so I can see why he or anyone else would want to transfer. That said, i'm glad he is staying, I feel like he has talent if he ever gets a chance to show it, and depth is huge at that spot. Related question, I wonder if there are any QB's on NFL rosters that never started in college.
He has to know he isn't NFL talent at this point. There was that USC QB like 10 years ago that got stuck behind Leinart I think that ended up on the Pats I believe.
I think you're right about Quadry. Good call, it was Matt Cassell, just checked his stats at USC, threw 33 passes in 4 years.
Hell yeah 8 additional months to strengthen plus he stayed involved on the sidelines. The year coaching probably made him an even better decision maker. Get ready for off the rails hype.
All I care about is him taking a knee to get the W against USF this season. Anything else is just extra.
Too bad baseball gonna keep sucking. I suppose Dawkins gets 2 more years to prove he can bring in good HS talent and develop. Wish it had been more of a focus before.
I remember back when that was supposed to be our only good sport....and really even since I was a student they were never that good. Don't think they've gone OTTO since I've been at UCF
With this facility and the Orlando weather I don't know how it shouldn't be a perennial top 25 program from here on out. Not that I fully understand everything about college tennis - but with Florida being an attractive spot for international players (which is most of the top of D1) we should always be able to stay near the top of the sport. Even if not winning titles this should be a setup for tennis success.
