I'll add all of the books we've read eventually, but for now I'm starting with my personal top 5. Maybe on a slow day at work I'll just add the link to the discussion thread in the list. (That would actually be a good pinned post: a chronological list of all books read and the discussion thread linked)

    1. Lonesome Dove
    2. Miracle in the Andes
    3. Ready Player One
    4. Revival
    5. Ghost in the Wires

    What's everyone else's top 5?

Most of the other books we've read are:
    Where the Crawdads Sing
    Cloud Atlas
    11/22/63
    Under the Dome
    Dr. Sleep (
Created the series' rule -- no series books allowed unless stand alone -- ala Lonesome Dove)
    The Night Circus
    Steelheart
    (My intro to Sanderson)
    Fleischman is in Trouble
    The Orphan Master's Son
    Stephen Florida
(One of the few I would like to read again, it's in the 5-10 range for me)
Seveneves (Would be top 5 of my Powerless rankings)
    The Lies of Locke Lamora
    The Passage
    Wool
    Mr. Mercedes
    Shadow of the Wind
    The Stand
    Girl on the Train
    Off to be a Wizard
    The Martian
    Gone Girl
A Brief History of Seven Killings
(This is the book that put me out of the book club for a while, I couldn't listen to one for a long time after this trog)

Which leads me to the book club books I need to read still:
    The Outsider
    Catch 22

    The North Water
    Dark Matter
    Nickel Boys
    Brave New World
    Washington Black
    Citizen Soldiers
    Uprooted
    The Handmaid's Tale
    An American Marriage
    Magpie Murders
Cabin at the End of the World
I'll Be Gone in the Dark
    Redshirts
    In Cold Blood
    Dune
    Salem's Lot
    The Art of Fielding
    Nutshell
    Big Little Lies
    Darktown
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World
    The Shining Girls
    Let You Go
    Slaughter House Five
(I think? Though I didn't find the thread, I swear we had a Vonnegut book)

Narrowing it to 5 is impossible for me

    In no order

    11/22/63
    Lonesome Dove
    The Passage
    Gone Girl
A Brief History of Secen Killings

    The Martian
    Ready Player One
    An American Marriage
In Cold Blood - this was a great book, but learning there were a lot of liberties taken after i read takes some of the shine off it.

Dayummmnn.... Never thought I'd see anyone with Lonesome Dove in the same tier with Seveneves, and behind "Off to be a Wizard".

Books I think were book club books, but aren't on my list does anyone remember if they were or weren't?

    The Son by Phillip Meyer
    Crossers by Philip Caputo
In the Woods by Tanna French

Also, please let me know if you see any I forgot or have any on that weren't actually book club books. If so, I'll try to make a post linking all the books we've read and their discussions (if they are still here).

Not my book. Really long. I really struggle reading older books. It’s jarring to go from modern writing to something written 30-40 years ago and my brain doesn’t like it as much.
