Just binged both seasons. Still hard for me to determine who I like most between Roman, Tom, and Greg(ory).
Jeremy Strong has had a couple random movie appearances for me recently. In the Happening he's the GI that tries to help out Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. In the Judge he's Robert Downey's brother that's always holding a camera ...
Just starting this show, as some of you can tell from old likes. Done with S1. The whole season I thought I hated every character but ended up feeling super bad for Kendall. When he turns on the waterworks and ugly cries in front of his dad, I was feeling the pain
Season 2 is even better, especially the last few episodes. Culminating in one of the better shot season finales in recent memory IMO.
So season 3 production is delayed, shocking no one. I did find what is said to be the script to the first episode of season 3. Even if it is fake, it's funny enough and similar enough in tone to make me really excited for whenever season 3 does happen ( just imagine the Roys dealing with the COVID situation, and you can see where this script goes ).
One of the actors on the show, Mark Blum, actually died from COVID-19 last week. He played the retired/forced out security head who popped back up at the end of last season to basically say Fuck You to the company if they were thinking about offering him up as a sacrificial lamb to the government. He was 69.
I'm in the middle of a rewatch. The little quips in this show are so fucking good. I'm at the end of season one and they're getting ready for Tom and Shiv's wedding. Greg arrives and meet's Shiv's mom for the first time and she laughs as she recalls his egg like shape as a baby thus "Greg the Egg" then she has a quick comment about how she remembers Greg's dad tried to bang every guy in Sausalito and Greg's reaction is fucking perfect. I love this show and it's just as good on re-watch.
Willa telling Tom,"Listen, at least I'm only getting fucked by one person in this family" still might be my favorite line spoken in this show.
i just did a rewatch of S2 and it was even better the second time. just so many hilarious quips that I missed in real time. Like others have said the final scene in the finale was shocking and one of the best season finales ever. I really think Jeremy Strong is the best actor in the cast and his best work is in front of him. He is phenomenal. Also cool that I read that he is a method actor and stayed in character for the entire time they are shooting. I will always be team Kendall.
I agree. I often don't notice actors because I'm not like a theater expert, but you can't help but tell this guy is doing something most couldn't do. The way he portrays the broken Kendall at the end of season 1 absolutely wrecked me, when he cries in front of his dad
Rewatching in anticipation of the new season In the pilot Roman has a daughter? And she never comes up again I’m pretty sure?
