Look for a recommendation for a tablet. Will be used to keep all the baby and house apps on one device. Will also be used for watching tv. So don't really need a computer replacement.
So I have a citizen watch. Just put it on after the shower and all this black crap was on my wrist. Started washing my watch and more and more black crap was coming off on the paper towel. Is that the paint coming off or maybe oxidized metal?
Ok so now my wifes 10 year MacBook pro is on its last leg but she never uses it so thinking about going with the iPad Pro. Might be better to go. Cheap laptop paired with iPad though. Not sure how good the pro is at handling minor stuff like Excel.
i usually get refurbished stuff from apple, saves a couple hundred plus those still have a year warranty
Just dirt and grime in your band. Take some soap and a toothbrush and clean it from time to time. Will prevent that.
Looking at bags for my trip to Mexico/Work. How much stuff can you cram in your GR1 I kinda want it big enough for a hotel visit or 2. But small enough that it's not like carrying a massive bag that isn't necessary.
I’d say the GR1 would do for that. There’s a lot of pictures and videos out there for packing this one to the brim but I’ll say a weekend trip is no problem at all if you pack halfway intelligently. I have the GR0, 1, and 2 and the 2 is my favorite because I’m stupid and overpack but the 1 is enough room to handle you business. The aeronaut 30 and 45 from Tom Bihn allow more internal configuration but they’re pretty much travel bags. The GR1 can be a back and forth to work bag (in a casual office), a day pack for hiking, or a weekend bag. I just don’t like that a lot of their production went overseas.
Ok so you're referring to the 21L or 26 GR1 I'm not a white collar guy. So i dont have to worry about appearances. I think in reality it'll be primarily a day pack /gym bag and a few night getaway pack. I don't see the need for the 40L. So I'm trying to talk myself into the 34L that'll double as a daily bag
Opposite of buying, but seems like a good thread for it. Fiancee and I are finally ditching our 10+ year old laptops (we hardly use them as we both have laptops for work). I also have one that is almost 15 years old from college that I've been lugging around assuming one day I'd grab all the files off it. Recently realized I don't have the power cord for it and don't care enough about whatever is on it to recover it. Are there places that will wipe and recycle/donate them for free? I know Best Buy has an electronics recycling program but I'd feel a lot better knowing they'd be erased. Obviously we can do that with the laptops we have cords for, but I'm concerned about the other one. Could just take a drill to it but that seems like a waste if even anything in it is usable. Getting paid for any of them would be a bonus but at this point I'd be surprised if they're all collectively worth more than $50.
Reformat the drive, drill a hole in it, take it to a recycling center. Other option is get a large magnet but that's not really as practical and you need to be careful not to get it near anything else electronic.
I feel like a dork with the 34L but sometimes the 26 is not quite enough if I need to throw a pair of shoes in with everything else. I’m also really short.
basically same. [optional] Where able, review the files on the device or attach something that will (e.g. new power cord, monitor if screen is broken, etc) so that you can see how (un)valuable they are. [optional] Copy files to new, safe location like USB drive or another device worth of holding these files. Format the hard drive Format again Remove the drive from the laptop, usually small screwdriver set will allow you to do this. Recycle laptop separately. Many places do this for free. Recycle drive separately, if you feel okay with possibility of someone else scraping the drive and stealing your identity OR drill a screw through if they are files you'd rather not ever be obtained by someone else I have about 6 old hard drives in a stack because they have like 1 driver each. I'm being unreasonable because I *think* I might eventually add HD-DVD drive to my PC.* *I will never get around to doing this.
LOL, have the same pile, some with holes, others without. Every time I see the cost of recycling the drives I Yao face and leave them in their container. I have given up on reusing them, I think I have about 25 TB in drives around the house that I was gifted but I am beyond your denial stage.
Phillips Norelco all in one stainless steel multigroom I’ve had it for a year and have charged it three times at most. And I do some degree of beard trimming at least once a week. I can’t speak to the quality and usefulness of the attachments, but the battery life and power of the direct blade has been phenomenal.
Just got these. Very comfortable and looking forward to them being waterproof. My previous pair was not.
Even easier than drilling is just smashing the drive on the ground or with a hammer. The platters will shatter.
Retail, yeah. I'm a huge fan of shoebank, their 2nds store which is ordering from their outlets, and ebay. A good shine and new soles from a cobbler will give you another few years of wear if rotated.
Bought some of these from Academy last week Columbia PFG Men's Bahama Vent LOCO III Boat Shoe, Charcoal/Island Orange, 14 Regular US May have finally found some summer shoes that arnt going to stink up if I wear them all day without socks I wore them all day Saturday and Sunday and they were great
Maid came to the house today for the first time. Best money I’ve ever spent in my life. Coming home after three industrious workers have been aggressively cleaning your home for upwards of 3 hours is a marvelous feeling.
Any of you Swim guys own a pair of their galoshes? I'm interested but my shoe size falls right on the high end of their size L but some of the mostly AEs I own have various shaped toe boxes. The more narrow ones push out a bit farther you know what I mean? Wanted to know if anyone has experience with just how much the Swim galosh stretches.
I had these and they fell apart after 3 days of use on a trip to SE Asia. Several tears and ripped seems. Loved the concept, not the best execution. I hope they hold up better for you.
Tell me more about swims, looking at some of their loafers they have a decent sail and I need something like that for a trip to saint Thomas in 2 weeks.
