lmao if y’all are complaining about officiating in this one these guys fucking suck. Congrats on the W
Came to say how laughable the number of fouls being called is and how it’s making this game hard to watch but I see you all have this covered.
Trying hard to give it away. We keep allowing them to hurry us up after beating the double team. Inexperience showing
Big game at Bama this weekend. So many close losses with this team with late game blunders. Lot of fight and love watching them play outside of tonight because it was an abortion of a game with no flow thanks to 40 combined second half fouls. That one stings, gotta get Joe right.
It's funny because we keep beating decent to good teams and then afterwards their fans go "This is a terrible loss, SC is atrocious". Arkansas fans out here saying word-for-word the same shit that aTm fans, UK fans, Virginia fans, and Clemson fans were saying after they lost to us. It's not like we're some great team, but we're good at making you play ugly and that gives us a shot against some teams we shouldn't beat.
We are a pretty good team but we can’t shoot free throws. It’s cost us at least three games this year and should have cost us last night.
At one point in that game we were 9-23 on FREE THROWS. Three of the guys who split time playing the point for us in Trae Hannibal, TJ Moss, and AJ Lawson combined to go 3-10.
We already have UK, Florida, Auburn and Bama out of the way. Other than LSU our entire remaining schedule is the bottom half teams. We are 12-8 (4-3) right now; need to see if we can win 8 or 9 of these final 11 games to get back on the bubble
I went back and checked the play-by-play and there was a point in the second half where there was 11 straight possessions with a foul called.
Seems like you always win when Frank goes full Mob Boss suit too. Need him to break out all the gangster suits for the rest of the season.
Given three of their top five in terms of minutes played are freshmen and sophomores, it’s not surprising that they have so many WTF type results because young teams are rarely consistent. They typically have a tendency to play to the level of their opponent because they lack the focus to treat the lesser teams as capable opponents. D1 athletes still have to be at like the top 5% of the talent pool, or even a smaller percentage, even if they are the last player in the rotation.
Watching b-ball today and it’s a notable difference how whistle happy sec officials are. In the second half on msu and wisc, msu never even got into the bonus. That’s something sec teams see at the 12 minute mark of a half.
It’s ridiculous. The SEC tries their best to kill pace and flow in the game. Turn on ACC basketball and you see them letting guys play, we don’t do that and if we do it’s just because they missed a super physical foul and called it that.
The hand check and light fouls are mostly better left uncalled for flow of the game. Make a call if it actually affected the ball handler. There’s a foul on almost every play but there’s no real need to call most of them.
