The Royals parade was absolute mayhem, and this one will be worse. Unless you get a spot to see it on like Tuesday, watching on TV is the way to go.
Also, the SI article is a great read. https://www.si.com/.amp/nfl/2020/02...-mahomes-super-bowl?__twitter_impression=true
Went to Scheels this afternoon and picked up the generic gray Super Bowl Champions shirt. Fucker was damn near $40 after tax. Hate spending more than $20 on a t-shirt. Worth it.
Heck, same. I'll wait a few days to wear the shirt to save 30%. Got a shirt for my wife, daughter and I for 71 vs the 77 I spent for just two shirts since Academy Sports had zero kids shirts by 7 pm. Definitely making another trip back to Academy.
Can’t get it to work. Code is fine but I’ve tried 3 different cards and it keeps declining it. Anyone else having issues getting an order to go through?
Got it to go through with my MasterCard finally. Wouldn’t work with either of my Visas. Weird. Spent $165. Definitely don’t need all of that shit either.
Yeah I think I did as well. Maybe not quite as much but regardless I don’t regret it. First in 108 years, first in 50 years. Gotta celebrate accordingly.
For sure - I’ll probably buy something Mahomes related...the only reason I have the Chargers in my fan of section is because their head coach has been tight with my family for damn near 30 years now (damn I feel old now), so I gotta have his back
I probably would have ran it through paypal if I had that much of an issue. Went smooth for me though.
Tried it. Wouldn’t work with the visa I had on file. Ended up working using PayPal with the MasterCard. Very odd. Never had issues before.
I'm going to work from home tomorrow, and live close by to the parade route. I'm going to go see the parade go by on Grand, then probably watch the rest on TV. +1 on the parade being a logistical nightmare in 2015. I don't mind crowds, but I'd like to actually be able to enjoy the speeches. In 2015 I was close to the WW1 monument and couldn't hear shit.
I get everyone being jacked, but Cam Erving in every end zone celebration is a little annoying. He’s done nothing but break pat and suck. He doesn’t deserve to come off the bench to celebrate.
Ok I take back part of my statement. I just listened to AP lab podcast and they had him in as an eligible extra tackle on two TDs. He can celebrate. Not walking back on the damage he did in the regular season, though.
This is completely insane. Impervious to pressure. Would love to see where this compares with the league. "Mahomes was pressured on 40% of his dropbacks Sunday night. It's the 10th time in his career he has faced a pressure rate of 40% or higher. He's 9-1 in those games."
Great line from Schein on the chiefs future. "Chiefs Kingdom just endured a half-century title drought; now it's time for the reign of terror."
Whole thing is just incredible. Kittle should be mic’d up every game. Dude is always entertaining. Watching the last 15 minutes of it right now.
YouTube TV had the parade broadcast on blackout, even though the fox station here is showing it locally. Any other places it’s streaming? Or I might have to go dig out the damn rabbit ears to watch it OTA.
KSHB (aka 41 action news is showing it too), download their app if you can't stream it through Youtube/Hulu/etc. This is from a random article: If you’re watching from afar, here are your choices: TV: If you want to watch on television, KSHB is your lone source and will be providing coverage beginning at 4:30 a.m. STREAM: You can download a 41 Action News app on any phone/tablet or smart TV (Roku) and stream the coverage there. ONLINE: You can watch the parade online at KSHB’s site or on their Facebook page.
Other than the outcome, my 2 favorite parts of the game: 1. The look of utter disgust and horror from the group of 49ers fans in front of us when "Home of the....Chiefs!" happened. 2. When Pat threw that pick in the red zone with 7:00 left the two 49ers fans behind me were screaming "We're gonna win the Super Bowl!" 30 minutes later:
I never lost service this morning or during the parade. Shout out to those responsible for being more prepared this time around. I was posted up at 20th and Grand for about 3 hours, had a blast.
