Aside from shaking asses, this was the highlight of the super bowl for me - learning about this show? Will Arnett hosting? Sign me and my kid up.
My 8 yr. old has been asking for weeks when this starts. H'e pretty pumped and I'm looking forward to it also. I came up with some pretty cool stuff back in my day playing legos but these people will make my stuff look like it came from a caveman.
Wife and I really enjoyed it last night. I feel really bad for the people who built that mega coaster only for it to malfunction because they hit a bump on the way to presenting it. Have a feeling they are going to be there to the end though.
My face still hurts this morning from watching this with my two extremely sarcastic teenage boys High quality entertainment, will watch again
Great mix of awe at the stuff these people are building and laughter at how natural will arnett is as a host.
I had a feeling disaster was coming when it showed them testing it and showing it off to the other teams. Because we didn't get to see test runs from any other team. Also WTF at the father and son making a coaster that doesn't complete the circuit and seemed like it wasn't mechanical.
That poor dad kept telling him to fix it and the son kept yelling that he is team captain. They won’t be there long or the couple that just started working together. I think when the lumberjacks were moving it and hit those bricks on the ground was when it all went bad. They should have gotten the golden brick but that Ferris wheel was pretty huge. Pharaoh Land looked like something I could build though.
yea, I'm going to assume it wasn't that easy to find 20+ lego masters that didn't all "look" exactly the same so they went for some diversity which hurt quality. That guy with his dad was completely over his head. Doesn't help that it seems like his dad hasn't built anything with Legos in his life. Same with the two older women. Their moving thing looked like it was about to fall over at any second. I'd be shocked if they last more than an episode or two. I agree that the lumberjacks thing broke when they hit those bricks on the floor.
Arnette even made the plural of Lego is Lego joke at the start of the episode and some people still gonna act like they didn't hear him itt.
Tammy Fay Baker and her ducks can gtfo as soon as possible please. The lady she's partners with looks like she hates her nearly as much as I do most of the time.
Them and the Cuban father/son team will be some of the first to go along with the dude who wore a 12 year olds denim dress. I think it's going to come down to the bearded men and the two who won the first challenge.
They both did pretty good and held their own it's just that the bearded men and the other 2 young guys can make things on a grand scale. I know the bearded mens roller coaster didn't work but like some other people have said, if they don't hit those loose bricks on the floor they probably take the golden brick.
I wish they would go into a little more depth on how they build these things, some techniques and strategy’s.
Yea. Would love for the show to get more in the weeds about technique and shit. Maybe that happens when we get rid of a few more teams. lost hard at Golden brick team to their explosion while the rest of the room was
Still surprised this team is left. I like Arnett as host when he gets to do his own stuff instead of trying to deliver the lines they feed him. Started looking up lego sets and fuck they're expensive. If they packaged some of the huge builds these teams created, it would cost between $500-$1000.
Yeah I can't believe the dress guy and his partner are still alive, seems the sneak by every episode. The married couple wins it I think, they are the best well-rounded when it comes to all the judges criteria.
I really think the final could have been a toss up. I think they judged the 3 teams on their body of work over the whole contest. So I think the peacock team deserved 3rd and the bearded guys just missed the top spot.
It was a real shame overalls and bow girl made the finals over tie guy and jock dude. The former struggled nearly every competition.
