disappointing that it's live. i have never enjoyed a live podcast. I loved OAIH though. I'm sure I will still give it a listen.
Why do they insist on rewatching so many recent films? There are plenty of 5+ year old moves they could be doing.
I feel like your second time watching OUATIH would be even better than the first. Gonna do that this weekend
It's just one a year. it'll be alright. I enjoyed all three of those movies so they are good pods for me. A lot of the 90s movies are hit and miss for me since they are a little before my time.
How Did This Get Made is like the only podcast in the world improved by the presence of a live audience
Still waiting on them to do a lot of good 80s movies that were on cable all throughout the 90s and still are: Vacation Coming To America Fletch Caddy shack Rocky 1-4 Terminator Predator
I love HDTGM but I wish they had some kind of basic format like give us a brief synopsis of the movie and then launch in with the jokes and shit
The Bloodsport Live one is incredible. I've been waiting for either Back to the Future and/or Ghostbusters since they started this podcast.
^^^ Two good ones I forgot add. Back To The Future is probably in my top 5 of movies I have watched the most.
My top 5 Rewatchables request. Don't believe they've hit any of these yet: 1. Catch Me If You Can 2. Superbad 3. Minority Report 4. The Sandlot 5. Talladega Nights
i love coming to america but i'm not particularly excited about bill simmons, chris ryan, shea serrano, and ryen russillo or whomever talking about it
My top 5 Rewatchables Request Pulp Fiction Snatch Casino The Fifth Element Big Trouble In Little China
They did Step Brothers last summer. It was hilarious. The Program is one of my favorite movies so I hope they do it but I’m not crossing my fingers.
caught some of the deadline live stream with russillo, and im confused as to why bill is trying to look like ron perlman in sons of anarchy
They put LA Confidential on a twitter poll like 6-10 months or so and haven't done it. I'd love if they'd do the Fifth Element, but if I want to have a conversation about Fifth Element I can just start talking about it with a friend I know has seen it 10 plus times like I have.
I think the "rewatchable" tag is limiting. Hopefully, spotify can spring for a different feed where Chris Ryan and Sean Fennessy discuss movies that are good and should be talked about. I thought that Hell or High Water was the best movie I saw in 2016. I have had it on my Netflix queue for over a year, but I know it will just bum me out and it is hard sell to anyone to watch again for the same reason.
Listened to the Simmons/Russillo deadline live show today to the end. Their Red Sox convo the last 15-20 minutes was actually really good, IMO. I don't remotely feel bad for them, but it was kind of fun to listen to Bill that worked up about it.
Bill Simmons talks to CEO's is the worst sub-genre of the podcast. Couldn't make it halfway through the Iger one
If you manage people or have ambition to really kill it in business I cannot recommend enough it’s not a self help book-it’s a short memoir. But the way he handled certain situations was really helpful
For a guy who thinks he's above all other sportswriters/radio hosts, Russillo is as bad as anybody I've ever heard in terms of losing all objectivity when it comes to people he flat out hates. The BOB 2.0 pod about Dwight Howard was almost uncomfortable to listen to at times with just how much he hates the guy. Also the end part about Kobe shows Bill/House/Ryen's true colors, Bill's whole "I changed my stance on him in 2011" was total bullshit, he hated that guy till the last second
He didn't even know it was on there. House referenced it on today's BS Pod, basically saying "had we recorded it after, I wouldn't have called him a prick or whatever" and Bill asked, "wait, what? That was on there?" Guessing someone fucked up in keeping it in.
