I've already completed the pokedex and got the shiny charm, I wonder how the expansion of 200+ mons will affect it.
Well we know it’s a seamless addition rather than making you start over from scratch. That’s pretty great. Honestly was never mad about the Dex but I’m elated they’re adding the missing Pokes back in.
I liked the cut simply because it was better for the sake of online competitive battling, gives some of the "lesser" mons a chance to shine as opposed to seeing the same entire teams of OP legendaries. REALLY not looking forward to seeing 1000 Landorous-T again.
Rolled credits last night. It wasn’t as engaging of a game as I had hoped but it was a solid 8/10 effort. Was hoping it’d be one of those games you think about and can’t wait to get home to, but it ain’t that.
pretty neckbeardy humble brag but I got to top 50 on the VGC (doubles) ladder, gonna try to climb to #1 or top 10 some time this week.
congrats. im scared to do battle tower because i literally just pick moves that do a lot of damage. i don't know how to work the stat amplifying game, ev/iv train, etc. any tips on how to educate myself on that stuff?
Smogon is a good site to consult for specific mon builds and move sets. The process of training itself isn’t too complicated; Bulbapedia can tell you how to breed efficiently for IVs, as well as provide lists of egg groups. As for EV-training itself, a google search will provide multiple sites with a rundown on how to do it.
the ev/iv stuff you can just read some wiki articles about or watch a youtube video on. for actual battles, you can watch some youtubers that specialize in either smogon (singles) or vgc (doubles) to pick up some beginner set strategies then go from there. If you're completely new, start with doing single battles in battle tower, your average rental team can get you to max tier there without much problems.
ev training in SwSh is insanely easy compared to the previous generations. If you want to just use a simple build of max speed max attack, you can put a power anklet (or w/e the speed training one is), send your mon to the speed training pokejob, do the raid reset trick to advance the date 1 day forward then your mon is instantly fully trained in speed, then you can do the same thing for its attack or special attack (or w/e stat).
Nintendo and the Pokémon Company’s marketing is so erratic. Home is very buggy so far but here’s my friend code: QKLCLBVZCNJV
has anyone traded via Home yet? curious what its like and the website gives me a 404 error when i click "learn more." was wondering if somehow someway i could trade via two different game copies on the same switch with the mobile app or something...
If anyone is still grinding for a Flame Orb, do the new raid battles, Charmander/Charmeleon drops Flame Orbs, limited time Raid Den update. Also lvl 100 uncatchable Mewtwos are in raids now too.
So I bought sword this week. I’ve put about 60 hours in. In the process of hunting down the royal brothers all over galar. I’m really excited to start breeding perfect Pokémon and completing the dex.
The Isle of Armor DLC is available now. Good amount of returning mons to catch. Urshifu's ability is broken AF.
