It's a docu drama. So they cut away from the drama and have nerds explain the history behind it. She was miserable
How is it you have nothing to watch in the year 2020 with all the cable channels, premium channels, and dozens of streaming services at our disposal?
With all that stuff at my disposal I still mainly watch travel food and sports card breaks on YouTube
Same for me. Years ago, movies were good and shows were terrible. Now most movies suck and shows are great. There are lots of series that I would sort of like to watch but they have now surpassed 3, 4 and 5 seasons. So I can't commit to spending the time needed to watch the entirety of something that I don't simply love. I'd rather watch a 2 hour movie that's so-so than spending 5 - 50 hours watching episodes of something that might be somewhat good. I do spend most of my time watching series than movies these days. They just have to really grab my attention before I will commit my time to watching episode after episode, season after season.
Just finished Magicians on Netflix. Really campy but funny and weird. If you’re looking for something different give it a shot.
Just watched Horse Girl. Pretty meh, but if you got nothing else to watch it’s ok. think Allison Brie tried too hard to be weird when writing it. Pretty good performance by her for sure though
Started the Pharmacist today, about to wrap up the first episode. Love it, and Dan comes off as an extremely likable guy.
It’s where dealers open cases of sports cards. It’s basically the fun of opening sports cards without the tremendous investment
Was the removal of all Bourdain stuff discussed itt? I'm pretty annoyed about it. I just had to buy the Copenhagen ep from Parts Unknown, because I'm all curious about Noma.
I saw game changers. It inspired me to try vegan for a week. I feel marginally better. Maybe placebo but I was stronger in the gym yesterday.
It's really great, but so infuriating to basically watch and listen to the beginning of the opioid epidemic. Fuck the sackler family
The guy's son gets killed in a seedy part of NOLA while buying drugs. Guy aggressively does his own investigating. He then sees too many OxyContin Rx's written, and thinks it's dangerous, so he goes after pill mills and Purdue Pharma. Or just watch this...
Wife is watching cheer, it’s about a college cheer team. I 1/2 watched it 1/2 watched stuff on my phone. Some of the girls are hot
Watched the 2 seasons of Knightfall. Was alright. Kept me just entertained enough to get through both seasons.
its all about Alchemist these days. also some of the former noma chefs have opened up places. like Rosio Sanchez’s mexican empire around copenhagen. Her tacos are fucking expensive but the best i’ve ever had.
May be heading up there soon -- like Marchish(?). Will try all of the places if possible, and also will let you know when/if I do, though I know you're a couple hours away.
its easy to get there. Alchemist gets booked in 15 minutes 3 months out. its a 6 hour 50 course dinner.
Stranger is good, halfway through. Not one to normally care or even notice but the intro for the show is like ESPN MNF production level horrid.
