calling that scene fan service in the grand scheme of that movie seems like a stretch it was a good effective scene imo
I mean, because Han wasn't a force user, he clearly couldn't be a force ghost, so the scene did feel a bit clunky, but at the same time, they had no other choice because the right option had died.
I want to like Binge Mode. The deep dive nerdom in to HP and SW is great. Theyre just annoying AF. I hate to say it, but I cant stand them together. Which sucks, because Concepcion is great in general.. Forcing a million sexual innuendos into everything is awful and forced edginess. I hate the term 'stan' for fandom. No dorky white person has every said it in a way that;s not cringey (Which is all of The Ringer staff) It's just really a bummer, because they know their shit. Theyre very insightful, but I just cant stand them together. Thus ends my rant. Thank you, now get off my lawn.
I appreciate their knowledge, but I can't listen to Mallory Rubin for more than like 5 minutes without her voice making me hate everything. I can deal with Concepcion's weirdness for some reason.
Ben said he was a memory Driver and Ford sold it well imo. Lesser actors it would’ve felt super awkward.
I loved the HP and GoT ones. SW is my favorite IP but it's clearly not theirs. Nowhere near as much passion behind this one as the HP series. I think that's a big reason why this one was so short.
Also TROS has killed my interest in SW. I hated it that much. I havent read any of the new comics since* and started watching a few old Clone Wars eps that I couldn't get into either. ** I never really enjoyed reading comics, but kind of forced myself to be a completist w the new cannon.
Come back to the light side brother. I need someone beyond Wu to discuss the new comics with. The Kylo mini run has been great, as have the first two issues of the new SW
Very True. Though them pointing out that Ron always revealed the endgame of the book in like the 3rd chapter was great. Somehow in all of my re-reads of HP, that never clicked for me.
Very basic (and likely dumb) question for all of you- I have seen the movies and would like to dive a bit deeper into the universe. Where should I start? What should I watch? What can be ignored? My depth of knowledge stems from casually skimming this thread and the major movies.
this is the easiest breakdown I’ve seen: https://wallaroomedia.com/star-wars-canon-timeline/ For tv, I’d start with the clone wars show then mandalorian assuming you haven’t seen that already For publishing, I’d highly recommend the Vader and Lando comics if you’re looking for quality introductions to the new canon
The Force will be with you, always. Bring home Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker only on Digital 3/17 & Blu-ray 3/31! https://www.starwars.com/the-rise-of-skywalker
I can't remember the last DVD I bought. No reason to with everything ending up on either Netflix or Disney+ after about 6 months.
I need a reboot of the story. Going to a different timeline would help me a lot. They've screwed this one up too much and I've just lost interest.
I love the characters of Rey, Finn, and Poe and the actors who play them. But you are right. The well has been too far poisoned. At this point you have to cut your losses and start over.
Ever since TMB introduced me to the city of Torrance, i dont think I’ve purchased a physical copy of anything.
Don't know what this is but will google search and figure it out. To start I probably plan to be a bit lazy and stick with things I can watch over reading (I read a ton for work so I am pretty bad about reading after hours). I have seen the Mandalorian and enjoyed it.
Start with The Clone Wars series. Make sure you google the chronological order because the order on Disney+ is all fucked up. Once you are done with that, watch Rebels. That should keep you occupied for a couple months depending on how fast you binge.
I’ve bought some 4k restorations of older films, but I’m not near as beholden to physical copies as I used to be, especially for games.
Jason and Mallory are either the most over-sexed or under-sexed nerds in the world. Evidence: every sentence they ever utter
Probably this holiday season’s toy to get Star Wars The Child Animatronic Edition with Over 25 Sound and Motion Combinations, The Mandalorian Toy for Kids Ages 4 and Up
