Dores with a 4-0 W over South Alabama to sweep the 2-game midweek series Ethan Smith got the start: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 7 SO/0 BB on 77 pitches. He is so good freshman Michael Doolin went the rest of the way: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 7 SO/1 BB on 62 pitches
I saw aTm was up 27-0 after two innings over Prairie View A&M last night, did they end up holding on for the W? I'm just glad all those Texas schools are playing true competition in the early part of the year, it'll surely pay off down the road.
Was just about to come ask about that. That sucks so bad for him and the team. Hopefully, that's not the case.
Our Ace is sidelined for an unknown reason. General soreness was the word opening night. Not encouraging. He made some preseason AA teams.
No mention of surgery yet but he’s being rested for a while. Sucks not to have him against Oregon state tomorrow night. This is going to be a fun series.
I haven't gone to a VU game since the UF series in 2017 and haven't been at a practice since before the Super Regional at Illinois in 2015. I certainly still love VU baseball but I don't think it's possible to have the kind of attachment I used to have for guys like Price, Sonny, Kemp, Fulmer, Swanson, etc
Hoping for the best for him. Same thing happened to us with Davis Daniel last year. Got one inning from him, and he went out the 2nd inning and was throwing about 7-8 MPH off his FB and serving up BP. They rested him for several weeks, rehabbed it, threw off flat ground. Everything was fine. Got on the mound and blew it out the second pitch he threw off the mound. Hopefully, Ginn has better luck than that.
hope so too - we lost Steven Gingery a couple of years ago in the first couple of innings of the opener...he was a pre-season AA all over the place that year too
UofSC hiring the head baseball coach from USF was a sign that the program was about to fall off a cliff.
Massive strike zone and win blowing straight in from center field at 10+ mph. We could be here a while.
Mason Hickman tonight in VU's 9-0 W over UIC: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 12 SO/1 BB on 97 pitches man this pitching staff is disgustingly talented. 27 consecutive scoreless innings pitched as a group going to Berkeley tomorrow to watch the Bears take on St John's
dammmmmnnn a perfect game?? Fucking A like seeing Duke and Wake get pretty good over the past few years
3 IU pitchers combined to strike out 13 while walking just 2 batters in a 3-2 win over UT-Martin in Mobile. South Alabama tomorrow. Now 2-2 after the series loss at LSU last weekend
Currently losing to Tennessee 4-1 because our wound up too tight starting pitcher has given up 3 bombs
CJ Rodriguez is a freshman out of Newport Beach. He's helping to hold it down at C so far as Ty Duvall gets over an injury. Will be a solid DH option when he's back fully Carter Young is a freshman out of Washington. He's holding it down at SS so far. His HS accolades are pretty wild, hopefully he lives up to his potential Parker Noland is a freshman out of Knoxville (Farragut). He got the start at 3B tonight with Austin fucking Martin in CF baby let's keep that going it's two straight starts in CF for Martin
Ole Miss won 13-0 on a combined no-hitter against Xavier. The Xavier players were later heard saying “I’m not mad I’m actually laughing.”
