Good match. We couldn’t win any of the coin flip matches and it seemed like your guys got us at the end of three of those. Very frustrating to watch.
The Decatur ending was bullshit but congrats Husks. White did that with a fucked up ankle. Malik needs to be processed
I know the timing isn’t great to throw out a claim like this, but I think the OSU-PSU dual goes down to the wire. I have it 17-13 PSU but I wouldn’t be shocked if OSU pulled off the upset.
A friend of mine that wrestled at Penn State accepted a HC position with a high school in DC. They're starting a program from scratch through Beat The Streets. If any of you guys have a few extra bucks you can donate it would go a long way.
First real challenge for Snyder domestically, really hasn't been great the last year or so. Gotta say, I like Cox in that matchup. As a fun bonus at 97, Khadjimurad Gatsalov, the 5 time World Champion, is back down at 97kg and competing... for Armenia. Would be surprising if he can challenge Sadulaev but another monster name in the mix
Snyder gets a bye to Final X, Cox gets a bye to trials semis in a field that should include Zillmer, Gadsen, Macchiavello, Moore, etc. He'll have to beat two of those guys before making it to Kyle. I see Cox-Snyder as being 4-2 type matches. I do think there are certainly paths to victory for both, but I see J'den as being problematic for Kyle in a lot of positions. I think J'den takes the first match. Not making a prediction on the second.
Why tf would you put a guy under if he's winning by 5 and only way your team can win is a pin, was also a hair away from a pin in the 1st. and he gets ridden out, even Tom Ryan wouldn't do something so dumb.
Missed the dual but I’m sure glad I didn’t make any predictions on that one. pretty sure I’d have gotten 4-5 winners wrong. must have been insane
That dual was absurd last night. Thankfully got to watch in person. NCSU has a nice venue. VT with two huge pins and almost one at the end to help escape a kinda poor performance. McFadden has me nervous, he needs to get his head right, tech’d by Monday, sat out, then lost on riding time last night. If he is on he can beat anyone at the weight, if he’s not he can fall apart. I really want to see him be the first 4x AA for VT. VT didn’t win any of the close bouts last night, frustrating trend for the program. Ready to see us get back over the hump.
Zahid suspended indefinitely for failed drug(recreational) test when in Rome... what a fucked way for a borderline top 10 all time career to end
Unreal. All year been hoping Bolen could just get there to face him. If this sticks Bolen is now the favorite at 184. Crazy.
I’m sure we would have but, given that this apparently happened in Italy, probably WADA related and they won’t let it slide
