I’m getting buzzing from my AirPod pros. Higher volume. Happens with music. Podcast. Or even phone calls. Both of them. Guess I’ll make a support ticket. Ughhh has the blown speaker sound. Buzzing when ‘extreme’ sounds are produced. If that makes sense. English is challenging today
My current MacBook is a mid-2012 and I’m hoping it holds up until all their new offerings are butterfly-free. Can’t really justify getting a $2500 laptop
Just griping here but I hate Maps. The UI is slow to reflect where your actual turn is, the map is not distinct enough on close roads, and it’s stupid(but understandable) that it’s the forced app for Car Play
I use Google Maps. By "forced" I mean in the tile layout in CarPlay - the one that shows the music and map at the same time. If you delete Maps, you can't even get to that view anymore and there's no way to change which other app is displayed. Again, just bitching that their maps app is so inferior.
this appears to be due to the beta iOS 13.4. Which has caused other issues. I forgot I’m still on the beta from summer when i wanted waze CarPlay. sending me new AirPods but asking I revert to current iOS which requires a complete restore. Fuck
Not pushing exchange emails without manual refresh is kind of a big source of suck think they finally fixed in last update
Yea I am hoping for 5G and a USB C charging cable. I am so tired of keeping extra lightning cables for one damn device. Hoping the new EU regulations convince them to finally ditch the lightning.
2010 Air user in desperate need of an upgrade. I’ve been waiting on the butterfly keys to go away, now I just gotta figure out which model I “can’t live without.”
Has anyone had significantly more typos or random letters since the swipe keyboard was released? I get a lot of things where I’ll get like ‘a TT y’ instead of the word ‘at’ randomly.
My Mazda has a navigation button and if I pull up Google Maps on Car Play it will use it as the default. You are right about Apple Maps though. When I was in Spain I had to solely use Google Maps because Apple's kept fucking up the directions and was unable to find multiple locations that Google brought up with no issues.
A few years ago they redesigned the keyboard in an attempt to make it thinner. The mechanism for the keys resembles a butterfly, as opposed to a scissor in the older version.
Im almost positive the 12 and the next ipad pro will come with usb c. Also I jailbroke my old phone and now use it for my carplay 100% of the time with the CareBridge app. Turns your car display into a mirror of your phone.
I use about 40 gigs total a month on my phone and have never had an issue going over on tether. I have a 45 min commute and typically have something playing each time.
its been reported by key analysts its what stops a lot of creativity on shape and design eventually there will be no charge port at all (wireless only) its used on mac books and current ipad pro charging would go to 50w max instead of 30w
it can't get any thinner.. not that i know if usb-c is thinner or easier. I have no idea. I think within a couple versions its completely gone
I struggle to agree on the wireless charging. I have wireless charging with my X and I hate it. It’s slower to charge and it generates a lot of heat. I don’t see how they could push users to use wireless only until the tech improves. Also when charging wirelessly it’s almost impossible to use the device at the same time.
Sounds like a charger problem not a phone problem. I have multiple wireless chargers and none of them produce heat and they all charge perfectly fast
USB-C and Lightning very similar in the sense that Lightning is the “male” plug and USB-C is the “female” plug, making lightning the smaller option for device design. you’re talking out of your ass a little bit
Also I would be super surprised if wireless charging became the only method considering physics says it will always be slower than wired.
Seneo Wireless Charger, 3 in 1 Wireless Charging Station for Apple Watch, AirPods Pro/2, Detachable and Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand for iPhone 11 Pro Max/X/XS/XR/8Plus(NO QC 3.0 Adapter) Anker Wireless Charger, PowerWave Stand, Qi-Certified for iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XR, Xs Max, XS, X, 8, 8 Plus, 10W Fast-Charging Galaxy S10 S9 S8, Note 10 Note 9 and More (No AC Adapter)
Serious? The max wattage those wireless chargers produce is 7.5w USB C Charger, Anker 60W PIQ 3.0 & GaN Tech Dual Port Charger, PowerPort Atom III (2 Ports) Travel Charger with a 45W USB C Port, for USB-C Laptops, MacBook, iPad Pro, iPhone, Galaxy, Pixel and More The max power the USB C charger can provide through the right cabling is 30 w. That’s six times as much juice. Those wireless chargers are slow af.
There’s a difference in needing a quick charge and putting your phone on a charger at night or when you’re sitting at your desk
I use the Anker one. One next to bed for overnight. Love being able to tap it at 3am to see notifications Another one next to computer
I literally said I don’t know if USB-C is smaller, but I do think eventually it’s going away altogether as wireless charging becomes more effective. it being on the iPad Pro and all the key analysts on board with the idea it’s fair to assume with a huge change coming on the 12 that USB-C is one of them
Absolutely, and that was my point. I argued that eliminating wired charging doesn't seem possible due to the limitations around how fast it charges the device. You said, it must be my charger bc yours charges fast.... now you are saying it charges fast, overnight. I am not sure what you are arguing here now... You realize my point was wireless charging is slower and inefficient compared to wired charging, right?
I really hope so, I am tired of carrying having two or three (lightning, microusb, and usb c) charging cables every where I travel to or work at.
