seltzer is dominating. The nyc white claw distributor sold 120000 cases of variety packs alone in December.
Pipeworks bottles don't photograph well because the way they wrap around you can't get both the art and the label of what it is in the same shot.
How far north of town are you? We got a decent dusting in west midtown this morning, but nothing like that. Very jealous.
had a Hopslam this past Saturday, this is like the third time I've had it and easily the most disappointing
Gonna try for Pliny the Younger tomorrow. I had the Elder when I was visiting SF a few years ago, but now I live in CA so hopefully I can snag some Younger while on tap. Not getting my hopes up. I assume places run out of it immediately and there will most likely be lines.
They tapped the keg at 3. A meeting was thrown on my calendar for 3:15. I didn’t bother going afterwards. Headed to a bar in my neighborhood tomorrow morning. Gonna show up 30 minutes prior to opening. I’m guessing that should be good enough? I did see that’ll it be at Stone too. Not sure when they’re tapping. Seems like there’s a dozen or so places in SD that will have it at some point.
If they have been advertising it then I am sure people will he lined up for it. I got a pint a few years back from a charity raffle at Beachwood. Haven’t bothered since to get it due to the hype.
Is the Neighborhood bar with the secret speakeasy still around in Gaslamp? I got it there around 6-7 years ago. They didn't announce it, just tapped it on a random Tuesday afternoon.
Hmm I’m not sure. The place I’m going is down the street from me. They’re tapping a keg each of the next three saturdays. There’s one bar doing a triple ipa taste test. $50. 18 different triple ipas including 10oz Pliny. All sold out though.
Update: Had Pliny the Younger last Saturday. Waited about 30 minutes for the place to open then was served immediately. 10oz pour for $9. Incredibly crisp and clean. Halfway through I ordered an Elder. The Younger made the Elder taste extremely mediocre. May try to snag it again tomorrow morning.
Casa Agria has made its way to Phoenix. I killed the keg tonight. Got cans of Mirror Flexin’ and Across the Contiuum. TMB is such a small world.
Half Acre distributing in Phoenix now. Randomly ended up at their taproom opening back in 2012. Always a stop when I'm in Chicago.
