UF. Got a borderline cal that took away a first and 3rd with no outs in the bottom of the 10th and won it in the 11th. Was a fun game because of the two teams playing, but the way that game was called was really annoying. No chance for any real offense with the wind like that and the ump giving two very good pitchers 6 inches on each side of the plate.
He was terrible but consistent in that both pitchers had a massive strike zone. Anything inside the chalk of the batters boxes was a strike.
Ole Miss beats Xavier 9-0. Gunnar Hoglund Ks 12 in 6 innings. On the weekend the pitching staff has given up 2 hits and struck out 29. Is that good?
Santa Clara went like 12-42 last year (and their AD torpedoed the 3rd assistant push) or some shit and is giving UGA fits today. Variance
Hogs beat Gonzaga 5-0 today. Going for the 4 game sweep tomorrow. 17 y/o freshman Robert Moore had a monster day at the plate and in the field. Kid is going to be so good.
going to extras in Coral Gables for the second straight game can't watch because fuck the ACC Network
This series against UF might be the most frustrating baseball I’ve ever watched Lost in 11 yesterday, blew the save in the 9th tonight and now going into extras again
Rocker today: 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER (a home run in the 1st), 12 SO/1 BB on 82 pitches. Dores with a 9-3 W over UIC to get to 5-2 Sam Hliboki did some nice work in relief of Luke Murphy, who was the first one out of the pen but walked 4 dudes while just registering 1 out (via a strikeout) in T7. Hliboki went 2.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 SO/0 BB on 31 pitches. Stoked about him for sure Hoosiers now 3-2 after a 4-2 win over South Alabama. SO Gabe Bierman had a hell of a start for IU: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R (both unearned), 11 SO/2 BB
Oregon St has done everything right tonight currently leading State 6-2 in the 9th. State has made some errors that have helped but they have capitalized off them.
Hogs complete the 4 game sweep against Gonzaga to move to 7-0. Robert Moore is going to be very, very good
UConn is pretty good. Best New England program that's for sure Dores swept UIC today with a 5-2 W. Jake Eder went 5.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 11 SO/2 BB on 93 pitches. Tyler Brown went the last 2 innings and only yielded a hit while striking out a couple batters. But he had some balls hit hard. So still not ready to say he's back where he was last year. With relievers being so volatile, he might never be as dominant as he was last year though
Ole Miss run rules Xavier in 8 innings 13-3. We had more HR (9) than Xavier had hits in the series (8). Take the weekend by a combined 35-3. Struck out 40 Xavier batters in 26 innings. Yawn.
