Didn't mind the combat on outer worlds, and the characters/writing made it one of my favorite games of the year. I've heard outer wilds is incredible, though. Waiting on a decent sale on the PS
I kept waiting for Outer Worlds to make it to that next level and it really never did. I enjoyed it but it fell a little flat for me.
People forget TW3 was also delayed by 3 months before launch. I have no problem with CDPR asking for more months to make it exactly what they want.
I don't have a problem with the delay outside of me being bored. I may just wait for the new consoles at this point to play it.
Yeah, it's going to run and look so much better on the consoles. Ideally I would like to build a new PC by then but not sure that is in the cards.
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's going to be up to the developers whether they want to do it. I was already under the assumption that most of Sony and Microsoft first party games would be upgraded like this. This and backwards compatibility are going to be the big sell for both companies to keep their current users. It would have to take something monumental for me to change from sony, considering the large library I have on there. It will be just as difficult for all the people with a large xbox library to do the same. I'm really hoping more games buy into cross play, too.
There is nothing Xbox has that would make me switch. All of their games are on PC anyway and really I can't think of anything of theirs I want to play. I'm sure there is something but not enough to switch.
Until Naughty Dog and Santa Monica goes multi platform, there's 0 reason for me to choose Xbox over PS again.
Bethesda is definitely not liking this. Skyrim has kept them afloat for years with releases on different platforms.
CDPR just fucking owns been doing a Witcher 3 playthrough. Crazy how it’s been almost five years and the visuals still hold up so well and that so much content was given out for free
Todd Howard is currently trying to release a mobile, mobile card game, MOBA, mobile MOBA, mobile MOBA card game version of skyrim as we speak.
Likely won’t be until mid 2021 at the earliest. It’s not a matter of buying it twice with them. CDPR already said they’re in for smart delivery. If you buy it on PS4/Xbox One, they’ll upgrade the license to PS5/Xbox Series X for free upon release. That applies to physical and digital.
Of note: Playable on next-gen on day 1 Will look better on next gen through backwards compatibility More robust and upgraded release to take advantage of next-gen stuff mid-2021 Anyone that bought PS4/XBO gets a free upgrade to next-gen version at release
im rarely fine playing a game even once, so it would be foolish to assume id play it twice. im just going to buy on pc
I just want to go on record itt saying that I have incredibly high expectations for CP and that I feel strongly that I won’t be let down. I love and enjoy the Witcher series but I believe a lot less than most do. I just see this setting+ the move to FPS+ what we’ve seen from a mechanical standpoint + CDPR storytelling ability and attention to detail I think is a perfect storm for an all time game. I know I’m probably preaching to the choir here but my opinion is very important
yeah but i cant sit still for more than 20 minutes at a time so its tough to finish things. if a game isnt incredibly compelling without feeling like a chore from start to finish i dont make it through, so if a game is longer it has to be really special. tw3 and rdr2? yeah im sure theyre great games but the gameplay isnt fun enough in either to convince me to stay in those worlds for more than 10 hours. because of all these things, i tend to stick to co op games. friends playing the same thing encourages me to finish. last single player game i made it through was uhhh re2:r i believe, and thats only because i was in a ps4 party with some people who were also playing through it. ultimately i think i play games to be social rather than to escape, so a 250 hour single player game does nothing for me.
