All I know about Lakeland is they have a great high school football team....I shall remember those who are responding with fuckery!
You're telling me... Went to Parts of Paris....was really good Then I got yelled at trying to decide where to get a drink because "it doesn't matter where we go I can't drink" Now I'm sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings next to Spectrum Stadium
For pizza you could go Oak and Stone, which is actually where I told you to park and walk for the game. You will however walk past Loaded Barrel Bar, which is my favorite but that is more dive bar’ish for Pizza. Also try the food at Motorworks Brewery if near stadium. As for a “good” restaurant in Bradenton, my buddy opened a place. En Rich on Manatee Ave. Probably 10 min drive. Sit at the bar with Jason. The area by the stadium is nothing special. Bradenton is in Manatee County and the only thing worth mentioning in Manatee really is Anna Maria Island. If you are willing to go to beach that changes things. I have many options, depending on how much you want to spend. Some really great food out there.
Nice. I’m at the courthouse, so right by you. I like Motorworks but I would probably go to a different spot for dinner though.
Just got a text alert: TAMPA FL: Mayor Castor & local health officials are closely monitoring the COVID-19 case reported in Hillsborough Co. Details: bit.ly/2I9Cm0n RIP former neighbors
What kid friendly stuff is staying open (a dolphin swim, manatees, etc?) in the area? Obviously my planned day for the 5 yo at Disney is now dead,
Be the week of the 23rd. I know it’s impossible to know now. Just curious if anyone has any Disney substitution recommendations
Oh, gotcha, yeah that's hard to tell. Hopefully 1 of the 3 options I listed are available. There's also Florida Aquarium, Clearwater Beach, MOSI, and Adventure Island. The beach is probably your safest bet to be available 10 days from now, but if I was planning a day to entertain my kids, Busch Gardens, Zoo Tampa, and Florida Aquarium are where I would probably start. BG can be an all day thing, the other two you'd knock out in a few hours. Bring a towel and clothes he can get wet in to all 3.
I work for the school system. Not only will I have my kids, but possibly 3 sets of neighbors kids as well for people whose jobs might not shutdown. I told them I'm charging $40 and a roll of toilet paper per kid per day.
