Do you have any need for this money in the very near future? If not, why would you do this? If yes, then why was it in the market in the first place? Leave it alone. Don't try to time the market. It's a loser's game.
The environment for stocks is much better than bonds right now with everything the Fed is doing. The virus is just a black swan event.
I'm hoping for it to break the $790 resistance but will probably have to wait until tomorrow. I also bought some GLD calls this morning and they're up 30% today.
I get that, but if you can see something coming why not? If the CDC is saying things are going to get really bad, shits gonna hit the fan. My grandpa texted in family chat that he pulled out 25% of his yesterday around noon. I'm guessing a bunch of old people and boomers will follow suit.
yep has been hovering between 797 and 807 since like 11am. seems like if it does break through 790 it could shoot down. i want to know how many people on robinhood own tsla shares with margin money they can't repay
FYI i think it's a titload. and if this thing pukes down to like 500 in the next month and they get margin called it will be ugly
If you’re talking about your retirement I’d probably just leave it alone. I moved my play money to VCSH last week.
just end now tsla. i don't need elon making some bullshit block buy order from his curacao account at the close
said on monday i was hoping for 750s on wednesday will depend on broader market i'm guessing. i can't imagine there will be any good corona virus news overnight. and it's possible that some companies that actually do things by the book will lower guidance. would be amazing if one of the big auto companies did this AH
he was due to leave in 2021 i believe. he has not ever hid that he wants to run for president. guessing he is seeing the clusterfuck in the dem primaries and may want to jump in
if he gets the majority of delegates yes (which is only like a 40% shot, next closest is like 10%), if he gets a plurality they aren't obligated but would be insanely dumb to not (~70% he gets a plurality)
Because the research very clearly points to the fact that you can't predict the future. And if you simply miss the best few days of the year that the market has, you substantially decrease your overall return. You don't know how low it's going to go, and you also have no idea how quickly it will rebound. Pulling out now means you will likely miss the rebound, at which point the market will be higher at that point than when you pulled out, which equates to a net loss. Go for it if you want.
When I look at the chart, the first thing that jumps out at me is that the price doubled in a compressed period of time (less than 2 months) peaking with a shooting star (reversal) formation on 2/4, followed by a sharp drop and a bearish flag, and then one final run to record highs on 2/19 capped with another shooting star. During both peaks the RSI was near or above 80% (and got as high as 94 at its peak), signaling it was way overbought. I don't see any clear trend lines to serve as support. The pivots that could serve as support are few and far between, were not generally on high volume, and haven't been retested There are gaps to be filled in the chart All this suggests a lot of trader momentum driving this stock, and the lack of momentum could drop it like a brick. I could see it dropping into the $500s I'm not an expert by any means. And the only software I have to read the chart is Yahoo Finance.
Asx -2% nikkei -2% Hang seng -1.25% Dow futures +120 this is exactly what happened last night. Markets that were actually open down significantly and Dow futures up
I sold the 700s and 750s and rolled them into $800s I’m consider either cashing out or rolling to next week
I've got some March $600 puts that I've already locked profits in. Think I'm going to let these ride for a bit
Some comment on r/WSB made me some good money. Someone was advising to buy 3M because Ninja or someone of that ilk was wearing one of their masks in a video. A guy commented that the masks are such a small part of the business but you should look at Alpha Pro Tech. I bought some shares at 6 based on a random comment and it is 18.50 in 1 week.
